Annual Palm Springs Weekend, 2011

I don't know whether this the appropriate place – I hope so.

Anyway, I invite you to mark your calendars for March 19 and 20, 2011 for the 7th (Lucky, please correct if this is wrong) Annual Palm Springs Weekend. There will be a dinner (and perhaps a show) on Saturday the 19th, and a "pool event" at my rented condo in the afternoon of Sunday, the 20th. More details will be announced as they become available.

In the meantime, I wish everyone a happy holiday season!:twitch:

If Lucky's Place is not the ideal spot for this announcement, I don't know where else it would go.

The dates are finally settled and we expect a good crowd this year.

ALL MER POSTERS ARE INVITED.

For the past six years, the Saturday night dinner was followed by a show at the Palm Canyon Theatre. They are not performing the weekend we have scheduled for 2011, so it looks like The Palm Springs Follies will be the Saturday night entertainment if we can get a good group rate.

Good thing we didn't go to the Palm Canyon Theatre this weekend to see Annie as the production was insufferable!

Do you require an RSVP to attend? Not sure my health will be up to par by then, but I'm considering attending. ^_^

Yes, an RSVP is required. We have to plan the space requirements and the number of theater tickets needed. The invitation is open to regular posters. The reason I say that is because last year folks who were not real contributors wanted to come. The weekend is for the posters to get to know each other and meet up with some of the escorts they may have read about.

As Lucky indicates, we have been considering the Fabulous Follies, a Palm Springs institution for the last twenty years. Group rates are available. I prefer the best seats available for any performance. I should like input on this, please. I have seen the Follies several times – there's a new show each year – and have enjoyed it, but then I like music and dancing. If we decide on this option, reservations will be necessary at the earliest.

Oliver whatever you and Lucky decide will be fine with me. I would agree that some theatre activity after dinner is a good idea. It provides all attending with the opportunity to continue to mix and socialize immediately prior to the performance as well as during intermission. I'm not really into bar hopping so simply going out to some bar after dinner isn't my idea of fun. However, if I remember correctly some attendees and their guests have gone out for drinks after the theatre performance which works well for those who wish to do so. The Follies will be just fine as far as I'm concerned. I would also agree that excellent seats are a must.
