Members EZEtoGRU Posted December 3, 2010 Members Posted December 3, 2010 I am currently in Porto Alegre. Went to Mezzaninu yesterday and noted there were no ashtrays on the tables. I asked the waiter (Alan) about it and he confirmed that smoking had been stopped in the sauna with the exception of one small room on the balcony level. This is said to be temporary until they build an outdoor patio area. Good news as far as I am concerned......but I am a non-smoker. Not sure yet if it is just the sauna doing this or if the whole city/state have moved to no smoking like Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro have. Most people seem to be respecting the rule so far. One garoto was smoking inside and was reprimanded......he then went to the designated room. Separately, they have announced a party sometime before x-mas and are advertising they will have garcons nus (nude waiters). The waiters are not happy about this at all and I am sure they will be having discussions with management. More news later. EZEtoGRU Quote
