I guess he figures he has them by the balls. http://www.gossipcop.com/john-travolta-secret-gay-sex-claims-robert-randolph/ Did he have any choice? I would like to see him get a bundle. Not sure that is in the cards though. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 I'm not sure he wants to get on the stand and have Gawker's attorney ask him under oath if he's gay. Also, Gawker was just reprinting information published elsewhere - I would think the logical person to sue would be the dude who wrote the book they were reporting on. Quote
Members seattlebottom Posted November 28, 2010 Members Posted November 28, 2010 Travolta has to walk a fine line here and it's pretty clever that his lawyers drafted a complaint largely around the issue of adultery rather than who he was commiting adultery with. Quote
Guest zipperzone Posted November 28, 2010 Posted November 28, 2010 I'm not sure he wants to get on the stand and have Gawker's attorney ask him under oath if he's gay. BiBottomBoy: You posted on Sept 20, in another thread, that the National Enquirer had come up with at least 50 guys that would go on record as having had sex with JT. While not always correct, I somehow can't see the NE making 50 errors and publishing the story unless they had hard cold facts. Therefor I can't see JT taking this to court as it would undoubtedly result in many if not all of the men testifying under oath that they had sex with him. I doubt if they would lie as would be stupid to face purger y charges just to save old JT. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted November 28, 2010 Author Posted November 28, 2010 That's right, zipper, which, I suspect is why Gawker isn't pulling any of their stories down. They must know that John can't seriously follow through on any legal threats. Quote

Of course. Because otherwise the lawyers would have to argue that calling him gay was a bad thing. Quote

BiBottomBoy Posted November 29, 2010 Author Posted November 29, 2010 So, since legally adultery only happens if you commit an act of intercourse, Gawker should have just written about him giving blow jobs. Quote
