BiBottomBoy
This is so full of win I can't believe it. The story is this woman posts an article about apple pies on her blog a few years ago. Then, finds out that a magazine in New England has copy and pasted the article and printed it in their magazine. She contacts the magazine and asks them to apologize and donate a small amount of money to Columbia Journalism School. The editor instead tells her that "anything on the Internet is public domain" and that she should pay the magazine for running her story. The writer then posts this on her LJ and within 24 hours the collective Internet is hounding the magazine and it's editor. Trolls have completely taken over the magazine's facebook page and there are now dozens of sites, one created by Neil Gamen attacking the editor. The Internet went boom! http://gawker.com/5681770/magazine-editor-steals-article-tells-writer-you-should-compensate-me?skyline=true&s=i
