TotallyOz Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 The average guy in Thailand asks 1000 baht for a short time. That is about 33.50. The ones in Bangkok will ask for 1500 baht or about 50 US. In Pattaya, you pay the bar for drinks for you and the boy at 2 drinks minimum 140 baht each so that is 280 baht. You also pay the off fee. That is another 300 baht for waiter or 400 or more for doorman. So, if you only have one drink for you and the boy and an off fee you have paid 580 baht or about 20 US. So, on average you can’t get away with a boy from a bar for less than 53.50. Naturally, if you buy booze you will spend more. If you get a short time room as opposed to taking a boy to your hotel, you will spend more. In Brazil, the average boy will ask for 50R minimum. That is about 30 US. The ones at Lagoa will ask for more but always settle for 80 R or about 48 US. The entrance fee is normally about 35R or 20 US. A short time room is 25R or about 15 US. You are not asked to buy drinks there but you can buy drinks and food. So, on average you can’t get out of a sauna with one boy for less than 110R or about 62US. In Thailand, I normally tip a boy 2500 baht for an overnight. That is about 83US. In Brazil, I give my guys 200R and that is about 115 US. Naturally some boys will go for less. I know of guys who pay 100R for overnights. They are regular clients and good customers and that is good for them. As an infrequent guest I find I have to pay a bit more to keep the boys happy. It is also all in the negotiation. Quote
Guest FourAces Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 So by the time you are done with the boys rate and all the side fees it comes out pretty close. At that point I guess one needs to decide what their preference is .. Latinos or Asians Quote
Members firecat691614502759 Posted November 1, 2010 Members Posted November 1, 2010 Well maybe close but Oz's numbers are a little bit off. First in most of the cities in Thailand 2500 for an overnight would be considered extremely generous. Always up to you but 1500 will be gladly accepted in most cities and 2000 in Bangkok. Also short time with a boy in Thailand is much longer if you wish, then a session in one of the saunas in Brazil. On average at least 2 hours would be normal in Thailand while they will be chasing you out in Brazil in under an hour or you will be paying more. For some who like it Wham Bam, then this makes no difference. Next there is no need for a short time room in Thailand since it is acceptable to bring a boy back to your room and in many cases the Hotel will check and hold the ID until the boy leaves . There are many hotels in Brazil where you will not be able to bring a boy back or if you can it will require bribes to the guards which naturally increases your costs. If you like Twinks, they will be very hard to find in Brazil at least according to my description of a Twink. OZ says there were lots of them in Port Allegre but we have no photographic proof and unless things have changed they are rare in SaoPaulo and Rio. Next if you are used to staying at an extremely nice Hotel on your vacation, that will cost you at least twice as much in Brazil then Thailand and in some cases 3 times as much. Of course some of this is controlled by strength and weakness of the Dollar and other Currencies. Anyways everyone should experience Brazil . But if you like Asians as much as Latins and you like Twinks then there is no comparison where you get the most for your money. Thailand by a mile!!! Quote
Guest jimboivyo Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 You talk about the money, like cheap goods don't come with natural drawbacks. I've spent my time in bangkok, rio, sao paulo, venezuela and while the sex can be hot, the communication usually isn't. Getting older, it's more important to me to connect to who I'm seeing, not just sit in a public space with a pretty face or body. Never forget the clients who pay for quality and a guy who can be notonly be sexy, but a true companion. Quote

However it is much more likely you will find a boy in Thailand that you can converse with then it is in Brazil where most boys speak no English. I am one who feels that it is their country so visitors should have to learn their language. Unfortunately I am terrible at learning languages . Anyways since this is about Rent Boys, where is it that you think you can get these deep conversations at an affordable price???? Quote

Never forget the clients who pay for quality and a guy who can be notonly be sexy, but a true companion. I always say to each his own. I have friends for conversation and I don't pay them. I pay for sex not conversation. That is not to say I don't occasionally like the long time or weekend experience, I do. But, with prices increasing I always count the number of guys I can rent for a weekend experience and that number usually wins out. However it is much more likely you will find a boy in Thailand that you can converse with then it is in Brazil where most boys speak no English. IMHO, that is not correct. If I compare the last 20 boys in Thailand that I did for a short time vs the last 20 in Brazil, the level of English for them all is the same. No better. No worst. That is a fact. Now, if you want to talk about my boyfriends who I have sent to English school, then their level is going to be greater. But, if you are just talking about boys picked up from bars and saunas, they are the same level speaking English. That being said, you do hire boys from GayRomeo and I'll assume if they can chat with you online that they can speak English better than the new bar boys. You also tend to like the college boys. Well, that is harder to find in Brazil than in Thailand. Why? There are more foreigners that hire boys in Thailand and pay for school. Most of the customers in the saunas in Brazil are Brazilian and have no desire to educate the boys. Quote
Guest FourAces Posted November 3, 2010 Posted November 3, 2010 Now, if you want to talk about my boyfriends who I have sent to English school, How cute and thoughtful. OZ travlling between Brazil and Thailand to promote the English language Quote
TotallyOz Posted November 3, 2010 Author Posted November 3, 2010 How cute and thoughtful. OZ travlling between Brazil and Thailand to promote the English language I am an ambassador of goodwill for all money boys. Plus, I love to help a boy get an education. I have done that with only 2 boys in Brazil but with over 30 in Thailand. Quote
