Guest wowpow Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Other boards are rife with rumours of what's happening and reports say: A) freeholds not already sold are for sale. B) Leases from the leaseholder will not be renewed C) Those with no leases are to be given 120 days to quit their premises D) I was there today and there are signs up saying shop-houses for sale and there are signs of development of the car park area with blue glass awnings and new glass and concrete staircases being installed. Perhaps the developer/ freeholder has decided that this is a good time to sell up. I rather doubt it as foreigners are very wary of buying houses in Thailand with the current laws being enforced and the market is depressed. So will it be major upheaval of gay Jomtien or a fart in a colander? see LetMeTellU on Sawatdee and dollypardon on Baht stop. There was another post somewhere but it seems to have been deleted. Quote
