Never have I personally ever thought for a moment that of any of your posts here have been something you should feel 1) guilty of 2) a culprit for or 3) a hinder to this website. Quite the opposite really. And If I did per-chance feel that way I would be the first one telling myself to fuck-off! In my mind - it makes the site a better sight for a number of reasons. And a better site draws more people. And more people create a better and more dynamic community. And that's a good thing for us all! Growing pains and change is not always easy or immediately accepted upon entry. So will be remembered the man who first got fucked by Ralph Woods and lived after the fact to tell about it to all! We can always change the name if that is of consequence. Does anyone salute this alternative? Would it be more palatable if we killed The Buffet and crated a new forum: Pic's & Vids?? Do we actually need to increase the number of forums? We can always move it up first in the list if that makes a difference. Just a possibility for you to consider. Well, personally, if you asked me - and I guess you sort of are asking me - I'd kill the politics forum for right now and make it the image and video forum and bump it up to right under Lucky's forum. As much as we all feel the need to talk politics, I'd rather see that discussion posted in Lucky's forum than I would a whole forum dedicated to it. I don't feel, currently at least, the membership here supports such discussion. Should an increase in political debate become desirable in the future, such has the GREAT image and video postings that are currently happening here now - then I'd entertain a new forum for politics. Personally, for me, I'd rather view hot guys getting fucked up the ass than engaging in political discussions as to why we are all getting fucked up the ass anyway...Gay & Str8. So, my vote says....dump the politics forum, make it, whatever you may want to call it, but make it images and videos, bump it up to under Lucky's forum, and in my opinion, I'm good to jerk off! Nonetheless and because I love Lucky even though he fails to return my personal messenger communications...Ahaha............I suggest the following... Personally, because there are a few constant image/video posters here I feel it would be better to include the three to date: zipper, tomcal and Lutherspeaks in some sort of combined mash-up forum moniker like name. Perhaps lookin will pass the bong and we'll all come up with something appropriate! If not, then the next time I'm drinking, I'll chime in! Shouldn't medical marijuana really be available to all of us that have just this type of decision making type pain? Damn -it that would be a vote for the politics forum. Never-mind. Suggestion heard. The Politics Forum is not our busiest but it is busier than several others. Even so the number of contributors is few. It is a fair question whether we have the content to support a separate forum. We are open to input? We have had a number of members express view that they dislike political discussion. I can appreciate that. We value those members also. That is one reason why we try to keep politics out of the other forums. I do not see that policy changing. Thus the question boils down to maintaining a Politics Forum or banning the discussion of politics altogether. Oz and I are always open to giving members what they want as long as it doesn't go against site policy or needs. So we can revisit banning Politics again if there is sentiment for it. Based upon "other" sites, but not here, I think the risk here is well worth taking. I personally don't feel that there will be a huge "Tea Party Movement" moment here, if the politics forum here takes a brief sabbatical from it's current News Breaking moment Involvement and interest that it has been established here. I don't care where the topics reside, but to declare them taboo would take a big nick out of the Forums for me. I'll admit that politics doesn't have a big forum here, by tradition perhaps. And perhaps because political discussions often find their way into threads. That has to be another one of my favorite things about this website: the fact that political opinions can be expressed freely without knee jerk attacks. I think there's getting to be a poster culture here that allows for differences of opinion, without the issuance of fatwas. More than that, I respect the thoughtfulness that many here put into their political posts. I actually do read many posters here with my eyes open for new info and new insights. That varies by the day though. I could always achieve the same benefit by yelling at the TV... probably. Otherwise, I doubt I have won the hearts and minds of many... I mean any. Members JKane Posted September 29, 2010 Members Share Posted September 29, 2010 There have been a large number of new posts in the main forum every day, making it somewhat hard to keep up with, and then people commenting on the photo posts, and often quoting the pictures pops them back up and could waste bandwidth for certain users... but so far it's not been a real problem for me.
