TotallyOz Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Saudi diplomat says that he is gay and if returned to Saudi Arabia he will be tortured. His diplomatic passport was revoked when they found he was gay and friends with a Jew. Will America get this asylum case right? Or, will they cave in and bend to the will of the people who want him returned? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39118941/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/ Quote

We are so deep in bed with the Saudi's that we are not free to act with common sense and compassion. I'd send him to the Canadians which have plenty of both and don't need the Saudi's for political support. Quote

It would be nice if we ever did the right thing as opposed to caving in to our allies or those we need oil from. I wish they would send me to Canada. I love their compassion as well. Quote
TotallyOz Posted September 14, 2010 Author Posted September 14, 2010 As the USA and the Saudis get close to the largest arms sale in HISTORY, I do wonder how the "show me the money" deal will affect this guy's case? Do I even need to ask? http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/13/report-u-s-saudis-close-to-largest-arms-deal-ever/?hpt=T2 Quote
