TotallyOz Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Not everyone in the world has been through a McDonald's Drive In. Yesterday, I was in Dubai and had to be outside the city for a bit and hired a driver for the day. He was good and spoke perfect English. I was late and needed to get back to my hotel and told him to go to McDonald's and asked him to go through the Drive Thru. He did but he did not stop at the speaker and tried to proceed to the window. I told him to go back and he did and we ordered. He was mesmerized by the talking speaker and kept asking if they could hear him. I bought him dinner as well. When we got our food, he seemed to really enjoy eating inside the car. AdamSmith Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Along similar lines, I read the other day that every couple months Queen Elizabeth gets a hankering for a McDonald's burger and fries. So her driver takes her to one near the palace, they go through the drive-through, then like any of us she eats it while they drive around. TotallyOz 1 Quote

I've always wished i could see her eating corn-on-the-cob. Corn on the cob! One could fairly easily envision her buck-toothed sister so doing! I read that about her liking McD's in some UK online paper like the Independent or somewhere but can't find it now. When I Google for it, all that comes up is news that she owns or has part ownership in a McDonald's franchise near one of her properties. But that's a different story. Quote
