so we went from trying to stop the original thread to now having two different topics about it?

Nope, we went to posting compliments to MsGuy. ^_^ Pay attention and please stay on topic. (Really some people!)

Lookin, when the US Supreme Court finds that same-sex marriage must be allowed, as much as we allow interracial marriage and marriage among the infertile or prisoners or the mentally retarded. When that event happens, assuming we're not dead, I wish to marry you. I'm hopeful we can have Ralph Woods as our best man, and for our honeymoon, we'll let him warm himself up by doing the laundry for us.

Love you. :P

For those who may be confused lookin's request pertains to message #22 above.

Here it is verbatim except for a $ here and there. Remove the $s to have tne quote commands executed. ;)

Anybody can claim to be any of us on any site where the right posting ID is open.

But only until the imposture comes to the attention of moderators, right? After that it's a matter of site policy.

Wow, nested quotes! Who knew? Much obliged.

TY, the minute twinklover, Ralph, and I get the laundry folded and return from our honeymoon, we'd consider it an honor to drop by and burnish your bong.

Unless of course you're hard at it with some other hookah.

Edit: MsGuy, my compliments to your good self and apologies for drifting off topic. Would you consider a turn as ringbearer? Nobody knee walks up the center aisle like you do!

These have been some fun weeks at MER, and even the Daddy posts have helped us have some laughs and also come closer to an idea of what we want the message center to be for us. I think TY and Totally Oz have been good contributors while at the same time keeping their ability to be administrators open.

Like one or two other people, I do occasionally let a thread or a person get to me. Then I chant the mantra that a wise old man from many years ago taught me, as we spoke in a Hindu Christian American Chapel on Polk Street in San Francisco. "They are just websites," he told me, leaning on his cane and smoking from the holy bong. So now and then I haul out that time-honored mantra and get my sense of perspective back.

My background is as a trial lawyer. I often took positions in court where events could rapidly cause me to change my point of view- you had to to survive. I rarely personalized the fights I entered into in court, and often socialized with the other attorney in between cases. To me, changing your mind is a good thing, as long as you do remember your basic principles. But pragmatism has always appealed to me over stubborn pride, so if I see something that works that is a bit different from what I might have picked, I get on board.

I do not strive to be universally liked here. I would consider it a failure if people agreed with whatever I said. As a result, I have had a lot of fun, and made some great friends in the process.

Finally, I often post things just to get a rise out of people. It's entertaining and usually harmless fun. If it bugs you, ask yourself why, and ask yourself why you let something on an internet website bug you. It's all pixels, isn't it?

MsGuy,... Would you consider a turn as ringbearer? Nobody knee walks up the center aisle like you do!

Oooo! I thought you'd never ask! Wait till you see me in my tux and red sequined cummerbund.

Would matching red sequined knee pads be a little too over the top for a wedding?

It's easy to post something like this when you're just an anonymous poster on an escort message site, but quite another when you're a known escort at the receiving end of your 'entertainment' who's business can be severely impacted by your 'jokes.' Thinking full-circle before you post is always a good idea. It's obvious that you do, since you edit and re edit your posts so frequently. I agree with others who have said you should take greater care in what you say and how quickly you say it.

Wow, that was funny. If the initial post by "Daddy" was bogus, I found Lucky's above reply even more so. Very funny indeed. :D

You see Lucky, this is where you get yourself into trouble. You have edited this post four times now.The org post you stated "I took your remarks as an admission of guilt, and still believe that to be true."Then you changed that to: "If this is not correct, then I'm surprised" Then you changed that to: "If this is not correct, then I take your word for itAnd then finally (as of this post at least.)You changed it to "If this is not correct, then I misunderstood what you were doing."Changing your POV so dramatically, and numerous times, and in public, is sometimes why folks get a stick up their butt about you.Perhaps you should use the 30 minute rule before posting anything. ^_^

I hope you understand that we do not want a site that is a bitch fest. We are here to get and give information and have a good time. I don't want and won't let this board become a place for constant put downs of others. That said, choose to believe this is another Daddy or the same Daddy. The name was available. He took it and used it. We are all adults and can make our own decision about this. IMHO, if you think the poster is here to cause problems, ignore him. He will go away. Or, he will make a mistake and go overboard and then I'll have cause to remove him.

Or, else: one can "feed" and push that poster on purpose to make a mistake and go overboard ... just a thought.

My point however, and you'll notice that Lucky has agreed, was not that he was editing errors, or sentence structure - His swing in POV regarding Steven Draker's involvement was quite drastic, and within minutes of one another. hence my post. It's one thing to edit sentence structure, adjectives, adverbs and the like, as you seem to do a lot of  but when your point of view changes so dramatically in just the matter of minutes

That's not the first time he's doing it. His reaction was even harsher in the thread "Is "fucking" considered "meeting"?"

Regarding Steven, I in no way took his post as a confession. Quite the contrary it seemed clear to me he was offering an observation on why the identity was false.

Excuse me, but you haven't posted here since March. Then the Daddy posts come in, and so do you. I took your remarks as an admission of guilt, especially given your history as Ice Fire Wizard. If this is not correct, then I misunderstood what you were doing.

It's true that I don't log in here every day. Sometimes twice a week or every two days, depending on things of interest and traffic. Finally, I don't see why he does constantly bring something out that "has no relevance to this site". ;)

so we went from trying to stop the original thread to now having two different topics about it?

Thank you for reminding me that Lucky "brought" this topic for diversion. The original topic is why Lucky asked the thread to be removed and ultimately what his problem with "Daddy"'s post is??

Cheers,
