Just because a ad says young and sexy does not make them underage and does not make them a personal companion. Especially since CL doesn't make any revenue off the personals section yet risks some real liability with it. The big question is what can replace Craigslist as the replacement of places like Santa Monica BLVD? Backpage is trying, but doesn't seem like much yet. Gay.co.uk's escorts section seems busy everywhere else but empty here. Rentboy's "available now" is a great idea but their price of admission is way too high and complicated for the casual guy looking for a little extra cash. What haven't I heard of? I am sure you know of men4rent.com but one tool I use there is the Wanted List. If you or others have not used it .. its very quick and simple. You place a post with your interest, location, fee willing to pay and time frame post is good for up to 3 hours. Then you hope a escort in your area will read your post and agree to it. I have met several hot escorts this way in Miami and saved on their fees as well. Its kind of a polite way to negotiate. the escort can accept it or not and I find on off days like week days and earlier hours (afternoons) they tend to be willing to see clients at a discount. Maybe if you set it up to send an email when somebody posts a request to the escorts in an area (who could of course opt out of those specific emails) it could work! Maybe give the same same descriptive choices in the requests as escorts have when they setup a profile and send only to matches... Maybe you get a certain number of requests per membership level. I've mostly been relying on good ol' CL though, both with query filters that restrict searches to guys looking for "gen/roses/..." (let me know if you have any good search terms to add...) and placing well worded "generous daddy..." type ads. Last ad I placed received 52 responses, way more than I expected. The recession has hit people hard here in LA, there are lots of sexy everyday guys seeking to rent it out to make ends meet. These are really men I enjoy meeting, the non-pros who are happy to entertain, share some fun, make some bucks and pay the bills. Students, wannabe actors, single dads, the underemployed... these guys are worth seeking out, I only wish there were alternatives to CL and its fearsome flaggers for them though!
