It is very hard to pick a few favorites I would say picking 50 would be easier, but I will list my Top Ten(but this could be changing)in no particular order... 1) Fabio, very handsome and smart from 2006 to 2009 I saw him often 2) Alex, Tall, 6'4", married with kids, and absolutely amazing in bed! 3) Yuri, one of the best looking with amazing green eyes, originally met him on the street near the hotel 4) Alexi, sexy and a really nice guy, 5) Marcos, met him his first night working at the sauna in 2004 and still see him 6) Leandro, another great guy who I still see after 5 years 7) Jhonny, a stripper at most of the straight clubs in Rio, one of my favorite overnight guests when I am in Rio 8) Max, the real life cousin of Yuri, number 3 above 9) Cristofer, 19 and just alot of fun! 10) Pablo, porn star, met his brother first, again a really sweet guy maybe next week I will list numbers 11-20 Quote

When he is in Rio he works at Pointe202, but this past year he has been in Paris dancing at Banana Cafe. That seems to be the place where Rio sauna boys go for a European working vacation, Max and Yuri also danced there last summer and Max is there right now, returning to Rio in two weeks, so for those who go/or are in Europe you should check out the gogo boys there, about 1/2 are Brazilian! I positively envy and applaud you. I shall always remember sitting in the lobby area of The Atlantico Hotel and watching you saunter down the street with a cute guy by your side moments after you'd apparently arrived. In the latter-- check the archives, for many of us have lots and lots of valuable info. and great stories of past experiences. During my venturing to Rio from 2002 until 2007 (...hope to return next year in October if all goes as planned), the sauna scene has changed: some have closed-- leaving about four or five that have "rentboys." Just to clarify Axiom's post, the "scene" hasn't changed, a couple of the newer arrivals closed and others reopened often in the same location like Estacau, but they all operate the same way. When I started going in 2001 there were only Two rentboy saunas in Rio, what has changed is the number increased to 6 and has had some come and go several times but it always remains around 5 or 6 open rentboy saunas. Currently, they are Pointe 202, Club 117, Meo Mundo, Spazio18, Caracalla(opened and closed and opened). I am always amazed the Spazio stays open, but they must have a loyal following! I have been there twice in the past two years, as it is a short walk from Club 117 and both times stayed less than 5 minutes! The Three main ones are the first three listed above. With Club 117 opened I think 15 years ago and Pointe opening in 203, and Meo Mundo opening in 2006 and recently expanded. For anyone going for the first time I would recommend sticking to those three, you will definitely find what your looking for! Quote

Hopefully one day soon I will be posting about my experiences for others to read and enjoy. After you settle on your days and purchase your airline ticket-- the trip is almost a go then. Your next step is to book or have booked a hotel. When those two important features have been accomplished, it is time to plan your overall itinerary. Go far it, man! Take the plunge. After reading the reviews of the saunas in Brazil in 1998 or 1999 by Trilingual-- I began to plan mentally. In October of 2002, the year of my retirement, I decided to spend a month in Brazil. Well, because I was not ready for the language barrier which I encountered as well as my reluctance and lack of acute patience to tackle this and make the better of it-- I aborted my trip after being in Rio de janeiro for only a few days. I returned in February of 2003, for Carnaval and loved it; I was with a friend who was up for that part of the challenge; I was also determined to make it work. We had one hell of a friggin' cultural and sexual blast! October 2003 arrived and back I went each year and all over the country until 2007 when I had to begin to curtail 2 or 3 international trips per year. I truly hope that in October of 2011, a year+ from now, another friend and I will travel to Rio de janeiro and perhaps to Bahia and Porto Alegre, and maybe to one or two other places. I'm keen on recapturing that Brazilian spirit in "Mother Brazil." Quote

I met Tomcal in Montreal and he proceeded to not only tell me about Rio, but to show me some of the hundreds of photos he has of boys he has "met" while in Rio..Now I have made two trips to Rio and have the third scheduled for this November to schedule my 50th birthday there..
