Proud To be A Texan (Again)

After living in Miami the past three years I have very recently moved back to North Texas. You just have to love these personal income tax free states ... wish my home state of California was income tax free too.

Anyway, I liked it when I was here before and am getting back into the groove once again. Aside from the tax advantages I'm basically in the middle of the country and can be anywhere in less than 3.5 hours. With two major airports Love & DFW, plenty of art & culture venues, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, a very popular openly gay a.m. drive time morning show radio host plus awesome steak houses and In and Out Burger to open next month (YES!) what more could I ask for.

Well one thing I guess ... a bit more of an escort scene. There doesn't seem to be very many young men actively escorting in North Texas. I have checked the typical sites and they have all disappeared. So if you know of any guys 18-28 with that hot toned look of any ethnic background (especially Latino)please share ^_^

Nothing finer than a fresh from the ranch Texas twink with a Panhandle accent. ^_^

MsGuy I agree those ranch boys are sweet and the accent melts this former Californian.

I hear austin has a great music scene.

I visited Austin an loved it, also San Antonio is nearby, right? Used to be home to several 'star' escorts. Not sure they qualify as 'North Texas' though.

FourAces, you spending any time at the Winstar Indian Casino? Do they even have any high stakes games?

When I am in town I head up to Winstar. They have a nice 5 - 10 NL game and on very busy nights I believe a 10 - 25 (which is a bit odd for blinds) NL game.

I was actually up there last night and the list was too long for the 5 - 10 so I played the 2 -5 and still did well. I picked up about $1,500.

But with that said Winstar is about a 90 minute drive from where I live so when in town I tend to play more online.

Have you played at Winstar?

Yep, several times. Was even at a table that would've hit a pretty good bad beat jackpot (forget what you had to lose with), if only it hadn't been a tournament game.

I think Winstar is Aces full of Kings beat by four of a kind or better for their jackpot and both hole cards have to play. So can I ask do you live in Texas? DO you head up there often? If you play the 2-5 or above I might even know you and you me lol.

Well Chuck I cannot offer the same type of company you get in San Antonio :P but should you find yourself in North Texas let me know I like to have dinner with you. Cheers!

Yep, that sounds like the bad beat I watched, don't think I'd ever seen anything quite that high lose before.

No, I just visit relatives in Texas once or twice a year and usually get dragged up there. Have watched it triple in size these last couple years. Usually try to play a tournament but if I miss it 2-5 or a bit higher sounds right.
