Guest wowpow Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Fire Severely Damages Room in Walking Street Hotel. Pattaya City News At around 2:30 on Friday morning fire brigade, police, and volunteers were called to the Jasmine Hotel in Soi BJ, off Walking Street, to deal with a blaze that had apparently broken out in a room on the fourth floor of the building. The room was occupied by a 40-year-old Englishman who was fortunately not in residence at the time the fire broke out. Staff on the front counter were alerted to the blaze when a number of male customers came running downstairs with their adopted daughters reporting smoke coming from nearby. All occupants of the hotel were evacuated without incident. Firemen believe the blaze may have been caused by an electrical fault and damage is estimated at over 100,000 baht. Quote
