Guest FourAces Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 OZ or TY can the software in the forum be adjusted to actually embed videos instead of simply posting a link? It would serve two purposes one keep people on the site The other it is simply more convenient to be able to watch a video clip within the thread / post and make a comment than having to switch back and forth between sites such as YouTube and MER. Anyway, just an idea. Quote

Anyway, just an idea. It is already there. When you go to post, look at the menu bar with the Bold symbol. Go to the end of those icons and the last one says Insert Media. Put the url there and wallah, it is done. Quote

Members eeyore Posted May 8, 2011 Members Posted May 8, 2011 For some reason the Insert Media process doesn't seem to be working like it used to. It just pastes the url address into the forum text box instead of embedding the YouTube video. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but this process used to work fine. Quote

If that is the case, you are pasting an incorrect url. Some urls are not able to be embedded. YouTube is fine but some video sites make it hard to embed. Quote
