I just returned from 11 days in Rio and Porto Alegre with a quick stop at Lagoa in Sao Paulo.

First let me reiterate, I LOVE BRAZIL! Where else can you go to bars and have naked rock hard guys sitting with you, walking by you, stopping for a Kiss and enjoy drinks with your friends all at the same time!?

My friends and I arrived on a Friday and went the first night to Meo Mundo where I immediately ran into the Stripper known as Pyetro who loves to do 3 and 4 ways and he comes up and says “There is a cute guy here, let’s take him up to a room!” Pyetro is gay and loves doing the guys as much as me but uses me as the excuse saying that I want to be with the TWO of them! LOL but I don’t mind. He was a really sweet guy with a great smile and a 2 yr old and 4 month pregnant girlfriend! This is a pretty typical scenario with the sauna guys! This is a discussion for another time, but all the sauna boys think that as long as they still have sex with women they are not gay, even though they make out, suck dick, rim, get fucked and sleep over night with guys! In this case It turned out to be so good that the next night they stayed overnight until the next afternoon and than the next night we all met in the sauna again for round 3. The first photo below is of them.

We left Meo Mundo to go to Pointe around 8:00 pm and it was packed, I would guess around 35 guys working and another 25 customers, they had a strip and drag show going on.

The rest of the week we visited all three saunas with 117 on their free suite night , Tuesdays, having well over 50 guys working, it was amazing! On both Saturday and Sunday nights Pointe 202 had about 30 guys and at least a dozen new ones!

This trip I met new guys I hadn’t seen before at each of the three saunas and they all the suanas were very good on different nights.

A sauna has reopened, Caracalla, which is in Centro about 10 mins from Meo Mundo,

It was opened several years ago and I was told the investors put $3,000,000.R into it back then! It’s beautiful, big, lavish and no one ever went…meaning the boys..if the boys don’t go the customers are not coming! The owner than turned it into a straight suana and that didn’t work, he than turned it into a night club and that didn’t’ work, it’s been closed for about a year and now they have reopened at a rent boy sauna! No changes it looks the same, very nice! They had their Grand ReOpening when we were there so we went. It was Packed, so packed they ran out of lockers, ran out of electricity for the suites! Lol (power was not working upstairs). The problem was again, there were about 100 customers that showed up and about 10 working guys, most of whom were from down the street at Meo Mundo. The location is not good, and it’s really a case of big is not better! The facility is just not conducive IMHO to function well as a sauna, but it is nice, just can’t seem to attract guys to work there.

Readers of these posts know I have a big love for Porto Alegre! I love the place…(caveat, I love it on Thurs to Sunday.) Monday thru Thurs. it’s dead! And while a nice city, not a place you want to be stuck in early to mid week!

The long time sauna in P.A., Plataforma is just about dead, few guys working, they have all migrated to Mezzininu the new shiny sauna and I can‘t blame them!

When we got there Friday around 5:00 it was already busy. I took some pictures which are below so you can get a idea what it is like. I also took a couple of short videos of the strippers dancing on the bar, so If I can figure out how to upload it to this site I will post that as well. We left Mezzininu at 9:30 both nights as that is when it starts to thin out. We headed over to Bar Mix54, the hustler bar, were about ½ the sauna boys who were working at Mezzininu were already there. I ran into one of my long time favorites in Porto Alegre there and he went back to the hotel with me to spend the night.

The guys in P.A. are more low key than the Rio/Sao Paulo guys and usually spend time before and after your encounter with you sitting, having drinks and it’s a very comfortable scene.

In Porto Alegre you will find a lot less of the muscle type guys you find in Rio and Sao Paulo and more the natural/lean/toned type bodies. At the two hustler bars they are mostly twink types 18 - 21 yr. olds. The second last photo, it was "Hawaii night" and everyone was given plastic lei's to wear. I took it to show the glass showers behind the tables in the bar, I blocked out the face of the patron, but you can see how distracting it is to sit there and try to carry on a conversation with many times up to 8 guys "showering" with hard ons in there!

In the last photo is one of the Mezzininu guys who is pretty typical of the guys working there.

A word of Warning for those who like to pick up guys in front of Corujinhas restaurant! Two boys who I have been with in the past as well as friends of mine and were fun and good, have gone bad!! They have pulled the following routine on several Americans in the past couple of weeks and we think based on how they are looking due to drugs! The new tactic is to very very friendly and outgoing at the restaurant and when you get them to the hotel, they get in bed, start having sex and than all of the sudden say “I want $300. R. for sex!” which is more than Triple the going rate. When they are told NO, they start screaming in aloud voice, yelling and than opening the window and yelling Rape! When the Americans said they were calling Hotel security they said “go ahead”, and called their bluff! Of course what happens is the Americans immediately give them the money to get them out of the room. While they are both over 21 and prostitution is legal, you don’t want to have to go to a police station at 1 or 2 in the morning and try to find someone that understands you and take the risk. So my advise is stick to inviting guys to your hotel who work at the saunas, as they don’t pose the risk that the street boys do.

I forgot to add this pic. I met him at Lagoa sauna in Sao Paulo, which has been my least favorite sauna. For many guys it is their favorite, it's large with a indoor pool, ususally has 25 or more guys working, nice rooms, but I don't really care for the layout or the majority of the guys. It has a high number of Body builder types and I find alot come with attitude and higher $$ expectations, but some of my friends have different experiences than me and love it!

I did find this 20 yr old who was sitting on a bench just outside the bar area where we were sitting, and he was stroking his 9"dick, and the cab was going to pick me up in an hour to go to the airport....so I thought might as well use up that hour! It was worth it, nice guy, spoke some English and we have already exchanged emails since I got back home.

Thanks to tomcal for his posts from Brazil and specifically from Porto Alegre. This is my first post but I have been lurking for years. Also, I have been travelling to Brazil for work and fun for more than 20 years. Indeed, when I first went to Rio, Roger's was the main hustler sauna in town. That has all changed now of course.

Anyway, I am in Porto Alegre this week. Tomcal is right that the early part of the week is dead here in Porto Alegre. Went to Mezzaninu on Monday afternoon and there was only one working boy there and just 4-5 customers. I left at about 6:30pm and headed to Plataforma where there were about 7 working boys and maybe ten customers. Wednesday was completely different with Mezzaninu being packed with both boys and customers. Big fun at Mezzaninu!! My plans for today (thursday) are to head to Mezzaninu at about 5:00pm, Mix at about 10:30pm and finally Cabaret Indiscretus at about 12.30am.

tomcal, do you have any other suggestions for post sauna fun?

I was in Sao Paulo from Friday thru Sunday. Termas Lagoa was my favorite sauna in Sao Paulo for many years.....but for the last five years I have gravitated more to Termas Fragata. It is a more relaxed atmosphere and easier to spend time talking with the boys before going up to the rooms.

I will report back at the end of the week of how the rest of my stay went.

The Third hustler bar in P.A. is Era Uma Vez, ( address: Rua 18 de Novembre, 31, Proximo Estacao Farrapos da Trensurb) near the Metro Station Farrapos.

This used to be my favorite and I still see two guys regularly I met there 4 years ago. Era Uma Vez moved to another location a couple years ago that had a much better layout and than last year moved back to the old location above, which has a much less desirable layout. The main reason being is they had a large outdoor patio before you entered the club and it held about 12 tables and you could sit out there and watch each of the guys as they entered and more importantly, you could talk as the music is so loud you can't carry a conversation on inside the place. The location they are back at has a small three table/ 8 chair "patio" but it's better than being inside! We got there last Friday about midnight before most get there, and ran into a couple of cute guys right away. They have rooms upstaires to rent by the 1/2 hour but they are....spartan LOL. so I recommend if you meet someone there take them back to the hotel, it's hard to have passionate sex in unheated/un airconditions rooms with plactic mattresses! Again the music was so loud I have no idea how the waiters can understand your order. One interesting thing happened here last Friday, a sauna boy I know from several years ago at Plataforma was working at Mezzininu Friday but dropped off flyers at our table for Era Uma Vez, I asked and he said he works for them too. Later that night at Era Uma Vez he comes up to our table and says "have you guys found anyone here you like and we said no not yet. He goes inside the bar with a clipboard in his hand and a few minutes later walks out with 4 guys and stands off to the side talking to them and than walks over and says "they are all available are there any you like? I have checked them out and you won't have problems with any of them"! LOL now that's customer service!!

Cabaret Indiscretus, Boate Nightclub Rua: Ernesto Alves, 169 - Floresta, I like because depending on the night the waiters might be naked only carrying a drink tray! or they might only be wearing a apron! Alot of the guys here drinking are available for a programma but there are also local gay guys out with their friends. There is a "dark" room, actually a total Black Out room where you can take the guy you found on the dance floor and go fool around, if you do make sure you are with a friend that can hold your wallet as the boys have been known to reach into your pockets with your are in the Throes of passion! :-) I actually enjoy this place for the socializing and drinking and gogo boy watching.

Another dance club is Vitraux, Rua da Conceicao 492, It a nice bar with three rooms one having a pool table and bar, one having many tables and stage with drag shows and a third dance floor room. Three of us went with one of the boys from Mezzininu there and he said "would you like to meet some guys for a programma in your hotel"? I said "this looks like a regular type bar with guys on dates". He says "alot of the guys will hook up to make some money"! and he proceeds to walk around the bar talking to guys and keeps brining them by the table to see if we like them!

Tomcal. Thanks for the quick response. You certainly have allot of information. I remember "Era" from a few years ago. It must have been the other location when I went because it did have a big patio outside which is where I spent most of my time there due to the sound level inside.

I think friday nights is when the waiters are nude at Indiscretus. I plan to go back there on Friday as well.
