I'm sorry you had that experience. Escorting is like any other entrepreneurial enterprise. There are some clients who will steal from escorts and some escorts that will steal from clients. However, neither clients nor escorts should judge the other based on one experience. When I hire, I have the fee available in plain sight for the escort and let him know that he can have it whenever he's ready for it. Most escorts leave it right on the table where it is until our business is concluded. I think that strategy builds a level of comfort with both the escort and client that there is no intention of either party not delivering. I'm curious, did you establish your fee with him prior to the appointment? I think that is always a critical thing to do before the business begins. Don't feel bad about your experience. It sounds like your client just wasn't a good person. And, that's not your fault. Quote

Go to school and study the English language. For someone living in the US and with communication being a vital part of what you do as an escort, it might help you in this area as well as others in the future. Quote
Members alanalt Posted February 1, 2010 Members Posted February 1, 2010 This is something that I think any self-employed person runs into sooner or later. When I consulted, the vast majority of my clients paid on time and in full. But every once in a while, I ran into someone who wanted to play games when the bill came due. So you shouldn't think this is something that happens only to escorts and you certainly shouldn't feel bad about what you do because you ran into a 'bad' client. Now if this happens to you on a regular basis, then you'll want to take a closer look at how you screen potential clients and how you handle payment (Conway's point about having the payment visible during the session is a practice I follow as well as a client). But this sounds like it was a one-time occurrence - and so there's really nothing you can do but shrug your shoulders and say 'sh*t happens' and don't take appointments from that guy again. Guest ez2plz Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I absolutely agree with the other posters. On a first meeting situation, I always put payment out for my guy to see. I have also used the pmt. as an ice breaker. "Hand me your pants and I'll put your $ in your pocket". Having been burned for thousands of dollars by a well known and high profile escort a few years ago, I sympathize. I hope you won't be put off by one asshole client, cuz I just checked out your profile and you are a cuttie-pie. My best to you! Quote
