Gaybutton Posted June 9, 2007 Posted June 9, 2007 Many of you are familiar with the Olé Restaurant in Pattaya, especially those wonderful buffets at such a reasonable price every Wednesday. Yesterday (Saturday), Ernst, the owner, suffered a massive heart attack. At first we were told he had died. That, thankfully, turned out not to be true. Our latest information is that he is in Bangkok-Pattaya Hospital, in bad shape but at least alive. I don't have any more information beyond that, at this point. When more information becomes available I will let you know. Quote
Guest travelerjim Posted June 10, 2007 Posted June 10, 2007 Thank you GB for letting us know... I will be at BP Hospital for doctor's appointment today...Sunday. I will ask around and see what I can learn about Ernst as well. Take care... and let's hope an pray Ernst can make a recovery... Ernst has brought such good times and joy with his wonderful food served to the Expatriate and Visitor community with his restaurants... TJ Quote
Gaybutton Posted June 10, 2007 Author Posted June 10, 2007 I am deeply saddened to report that the initial information we received was indeed true and Ernst died on Saturday at 10:00 AM. We received this confirmation this afternoon from his wife. She did tell us that she intends to keep the restaurant open and operating as always. Quote
