TotallyOz Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I am thinking about throwing an LA get together for everyone. I have talked to Townie about this and he has given me some suggestions on where to go. My question is who would be interested in this? Is there a demand for it? Would people show up? Naturally, I'd invite Daddy's Boys as well and every escort in LA. But, as a member thing, are any interested? Quote
Members Lucky Posted November 10, 2009 Members Posted November 10, 2009 Where did Townie tell you to go? Quote
TotallyOz Posted November 10, 2009 Author Posted November 10, 2009 He suggested: The Flying Leap in Silverlake. On weekdays they have very good specials and they have a full bar. Last gay Piano bar in LA. and then to MJ's. It is a short(7-10 minute)walk to Mj's for the dancing boys. Tuesday is a great night at MJ's as they have a LOT of dancing boys. Alternatively you could do something at Bossa Nova in WeHo on a night that here will have dancers/entertainment. Thanks Townie! Also, open to other suggestions and options. I hate Numbers closed as I did enjoy it there! Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted November 10, 2009 Posted November 10, 2009 I would go. I think Townie's suggestions are good ones. Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted November 11, 2009 Members Posted November 11, 2009 Hmmmmm- I wondered why my ears were warm! Yeah tuesday is great at MJ's! However another alternate is the first sunday in the month for Go Go Sister Bingo(next one is 12/6)which I regularly attend. With a dinner afterwards at Flying Leap which is very affordable(much cheaper than numbers)-if not the greatest food(just average diner fare IMO)served by very attentive fellas. New place accross the street from MJ's=Barberella is getting good notices although the prices are a little high. The dancing boys at HERE are really great-but they do not start till later in the evening(9-10)Bossa Nova is good simple food in an open air setting-they have an indoor dining room although I have never seen it. Another option in WeHo is Cafe L'Etiole.Average food, good service, highish prices for what is served IMO but not outrageous. So keep your ear perked as date time and venue will be announced soon! What about ELEVEN. I thought they served dinner, too. Quote
Guest FourAces Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 I'm headed to Las Vegas in the morning. So depending when and if I am not in a tournament I might be able to make my first public appearance in 4 years Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted November 17, 2009 Members Posted November 17, 2009 Another night to consider is Friday.MJ's has"FRESH MEAT" now featured and they have 20 dancing boys! Eleven does indeed serve food(although I am not endorsing it) and they have Rough House on Saturday nights. Also I have noticed some VERY fine looking dancing boys in the early evening now at Rage on Saturdays. TotallyOz Posted November 18, 2009 Author Posted November 18, 2009 Are any of the dancing boys, working boys? Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Some of them are working boys. Some of them aren't. It isn't always obvious. It usually takes a little conversation. My friend that goes with me on Fridays and sometimes Tuesdays usually always leaves with one or two phone numbers for later connections. Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted November 28, 2009 Members Posted November 28, 2009 Any further thoughts/actions on this?It has been awhile since I have heard from anyone(Oz?)or anybody has posted. As the Holiday season is upon us and our social calenders fill up it would be best IMO to either just throw a date/time/place out there or to table it in exchange for a less organized get together. Guest epigonos Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 Sounds like fun to me. I do agree that this time of year is difficult. If I am free on the night selected count me in. What about Mickey's in West Hollywood. We might want to go on an evening when Kristian is dancing. He is always lots of fun and know how to work his audience. Quote
TotallyOz Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 I am pretty free. I'll be in and out of LA on weekends but week days are OK. January gets much better. What are first week of January? Is that a good time for others? Quote
Members Lucky Posted December 31, 2009 Members Posted December 31, 2009 Jason Carter will be in LA from the 12th to the 15th, so why not plan around that? Quote
Guest epigonos Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 I like the idea and would definitely make an effort to attend. Now that the Holiday Season is about to be behind us it is, at least for me, easier to make plans. Second week of January would be great for we as I am having knee replacement latter in the month. Damn this getting old shit is a pain in the ass and just about every place else as well. Quote
Guest JasonCarter Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Jason Carter will be in LA from the 12th to the 15th, so why not plan around that? I would love to attend one while in town! I'm busy the evening of the 12th, but any other time is good. Quote
TotallyOz Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 The 15 is a Friday and sounds good to me. Where do you guys want to go? I like gogo boys. Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 MJ's has the most go go boys on Friday night. They have anywhere from 18 - 22 dancers on Friday night. Plus Ace Sinclar (former porn star) is now a bartender there. This is their December ad for Fridays: They even have an afterhours party planned for Jan 15: Quote
Guest EXPAT Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 And Chris aka Ace Sinclar as your bartender: Quote

Members Lucky Posted January 5, 2010 Members Posted January 5, 2010 This thread started on November 9th, and you are just now coming up with a date for the event. This morning I gave up on this and purchased tickets to the Palm Springs Film Festival instead. Quote

This morning I gave up on this and purchased tickets to the Palm Springs Film Festival instead. Well, I was looking for suggestions. No dates yet. I can only do Friday and Saturday nights as I have commitments Monday - Friday during the day. Quote
Guest epigonos Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Friday, January 15th., Friday January 22nd., and Saturday January 23rd all work for me. I am having knee replacement surgery on Monday the 25th so will be out of commission for a while after those dates. Quote
