Memories Closing???

I read on another board that "There is a sign on Memeories Bar in Sunnee saying "closed until 6th June, re-opening under new ownership."

 

Does anyone have any information on this??

 

Do you know what the status of Ralph, Jack, or Oud.

The story I am hearing is that an offer was made to Ralph, Jack, and Oud a few weeks ago and they turned down the offer. Then, several days ago they either reconsidered or whoever made the offer upped the ante. I don't know which. In any case they made the decision to sell. I have not yet heard whether they intend to reopen something else or bow out of the bar business.

The story I was told was that they only took on the Memories Bar so Oud could get an American Visa easier and it worked, they just could not believe how successful they bar turned out with there combination of Jack and Ralf chatting to the straight laced from some hideous American queens to genuine Customers and Oud was the cement that Kept it all flowing so hospitable you wanted for nothing, with this combination, any one could be catered for, Almost everything is in Ouds name, he knows all the details of all the money, leases and business dealings, so when he was Interviewed by the American Embassy Jack and Ralf knowing how near Impossible it is for a Thai to get an American Visa, Oud knowing the Intimate questions on the business and relationships. could show all the documentations with confidence, as it was all n his name, so he would have a very good reason to come back and not Abscond in American, as it would seem 15 million have already from around the world.

 

Much the same as American Teacher did for his Partner at the time, took on the Bar/Cafe Niddies Nook considering the rent was only 8000 baht for the up stairs apartment and the Nook it did not need to make a profit, as it would cost the minimum of that to live in Thailand anyway

 

Now Oud Jack and Ralf have had an offer they would be silly to refuse, they are free as a bird even though they created the best snacks in town, but as its well known seemed to attract some very Barmy customers, who were just sitting there plotting who the Barmy Army were going to get rid of next with there con tricks and Lies, now it was usually any one who stand in there way, they will have to never leave the VIP Corner Bar now, it is good there if The Boss Gary The American host, is holding Court, you could not get better apart from no snacks, if he is away for some reason it turns into a dessert, in an Oasis of Customers, just walking on by, The Barmy Army can see who is coming and going out of the Orgies of nakedness KAOS Bar, they love to frequent daily how boring. each to there own, Yes Memories was indeed the best Host bar in Pattaya with Le Cage next, but I must say last time I was in Thailand Minou Bar was starting to take off, with CumIn not far behind. So still some thing for everyone.

 

 

 

# A Host Bar is a bar where you can just sit and watch the world go by, you can Off the waiters but it is mainly a lot cheaper for drinks and some times snacks, with tea and coffee for those who dont drink, now Sunee Plaza is turning from Sleaze to a Mediterranean Boulevard, you will now be able to relax live and just chill out to unwind in a small haven of paradise, especially when Don Plaza settles in as it will in time, its shining like polished gold right now, but wait, the first customers are ready to dip there toe in the water, dont worry about horror stories of Police raids and the like, your be with an 18 year old or older, so no laws will be broken, by the way I hear and saw with my own eyes last time I was there, Yensabia Condos, Ben Mansions and Paradise Inn and a few others. have weekly visits by the Boys in Brown at 2.30 am looking at all the I.d cards in the reception and even knocking on some doors, if they are suspicious, so if you like under 18 dont book in this area with him.

I enjoyed Memories and it was full of customers more than any other bar I saw. But, I always enjoyed the Come In bar the best. Toward the end of my last stay, I liked Corner Bar and Three Zone. Come In seems to have good regular customers and the waiters are consistently nice and friendly. Corner Bar has a great location but when the boss was away the service was not as good as when he was there. I hear they make a good cup of coffee.
