Gaybutton
An E-mail from a friend reminded me that it's been a long time since I wrote about Rhonda, of Norcross Travel. Many traveling to Thailand from the USA may not have heard of her and end up paying much more than necessary for airfare. I used Rhonda for my flights to Thailand for many years and she was always able to get airfares hundreds of dollars less than any other source I was ever able to find. She specializes in travel to Thailand. I suggest first trying to find the lowest airfares you can, but contacting Rhonda before you commit to anything. She'll probably be able to beat the price, and beat it by several hundred dollars. The toll free number for Norcross Travel is 1-888-888-7157. Make sure to specifically ask to speak to Rhonda. Also, if you want to be assured of getting flier miles, let Rhonda know that. Sometimes I took the lowest airfare she was able to get, but the fare did not include the miles. It may cost a little more, but the flier miles are worth a few extra bucks.
TotallyOz
I have not used her for Thailand as I use my own airline and pay full fare. But, I did use her once on another flight and was very happy with it. She not only does flights to Thailand but everywhere. Give her a call if you are heading somewhere exotic or erotic and I bet you will be happy with that. Guest pete1969
I've used her for some time based on GB's recommendation on his old site. Sometimes, she gets me a better rate, and sometimes, I find a better rate on the Internet. She is very fast, professional, and nice. Guest pingalicker
I've flown United 5 times Las Vegas, NV round-trip to BKK. One of the trips was free using freguent flyer miles and now have enough miles racked up for another freebie trip to LOS. I always fly in "economy plus" and have no complaints. No problems requesting the free flights. Checking United's sale's, southeast Asia very infrequently put on sale, being very popular, the least I've paid for round-trip is $950USD. My thoughts are the frequent flyer miles are very important. Needless to say the freebie trip is "burning a hole in my pocket", but due to work requirements must wait until early fall. I always read with great interest different people's opinon's on different airlines. We all have our fav's for different reason's. And yes, I do get that "cattle car feeling" sometimes with United, but they have always treated me well. The trip to Thailand always seems shorter as I'm anticapting fun, (and have NEVER been disappointed!) than the depressing return trip back to USA. Have been known to shed a tear in the taxi on the way to airport to leave........
fedssocr
I would avoid United for such a long flight. I paid for economy plus (upgraded at the airport to business) on Thai last year and thought it was OK. This year I booked a flight using United miles in business class on ANA. Before you call to trade in your miles do some research to see the options on all partner airlines and when you do call them ask them to make sure they check the partners and not just United. If the first person can't give you what you want call back and try again. Unfortunately some agents are more diligent than others so you can't always rely on the first person. And inventory changes all the time too.
