Guest StuCotts Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 There's a really offbeat little show of Guercino pieces at the Italian Cultural Institute, Park & 68th. It's worth the bus trip. So little of his stuff gets around. And there's no entrance fee! At the Frick, two minutes' walk away, there's a new show of five important pieces from the Norton Simon collection. In this case there's a fee, but it's cheaper than flying to CA. That area is more pisselegant than the law allows, but the side streets are interesting for some really arresting architecture. Quote
caeron Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I love the Frick. I think it's my favorite Museum in NYC. It's such a cool venue for a museum. It's in Henry Clay Frick's mansion for those who don't know. Quote
