At the moment I am unable to pull up his comments due to technical difficulties, but I am pretty sure he said something along the lines of scummy dump. I was impressed with the improvements the owners have made at this property. While I would not personally want to stay here for an extended stay I would not dismiss it as a place for a weekend of playtime. Equal to many of the PSP clothing optional properties IMO-and better than the Blue Moon Resort in Las Vegas which I know ACE is familliar with. Not a place for tea and crumpets-but if you are looking for a place to lay naked by the pool=well outside private residences it is the only game in town. They have a variety of rooms some are small and not very nice, and if I remember many have shared bathrooms. But when I stayed there I paid a little more and had a clean, large room with lots of light and a clean good sized private bathroom. The service was good, but I suspect that service, and cleanliness might be quite variable depending on the number and mood of the guests and particular staff. The San Vicente might not be the place to relax as I found folks very forward and persistent about wanting to play, even knocking on my door. Still I'm sure I'll stay there again someday. Sure if you are in the habit of staying at the Peninsula you will find the San Vicente lacking but try walking around the Peninsula's beautiful rooftop pool and gardens with out wearing clothes. Raul. who has stayed at quite a variety of hotels in and around L.A., some are pretty darn ummm ... special. ... wondering if anyone has stayed at (or heard anything pro/con). about The San Vincente Inn?
