Guest tomcal Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 another pricing update as of 4/2014 Current exchange rate a $100.R = $44.60 U.S. Standard rate I pay is still $100.R. per session and that includes cumming. as I stated earlier I have Never paid extra for that. this past trip I paid $100.R in Rio, in Porto Alegre and in Sao Paulo. This comes with one caveat. In both Rio and Porto Alegre the guys that come to the Hotel in the afternoon I pay a extra $25.R since they have to travel further to meet me then they would if I am meeting them at the Saunas. In both Rio and P.A., where I stay is considerably further for most of them to travel then if they were going to either Meo Mundo or Mezziniu saunas. Quote

TotallyOz Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 It touched 4.7 to the £ Holy Shit. I remember when it was this number back ages ago and I had a blast! Quote
Members scott456 Posted January 9, 2016 Members Posted January 9, 2016 ... One thing you do need to be aware of though, is to be sure to check your "bill" before leaving. I have occasionally had a beverage on my account that I did not authorize. Any time that has happened and I brought it to the attention of the attendant, it was always promptly removed. I usually carry cash for the boys, and use a credit card at the saunas, and have never had any issues with credit fraud. The bill tally is in all Portugese. Unless you only had a couple drinks and know how much each, it would be difficult to figure out the tally. And some sauna charge for condoms and lubes. Do you bother to ask before they give you the condoms? Quote
Members scott456 Posted January 9, 2016 Members Posted January 9, 2016 He just says Oi-TEN-ta com gozar. He maybe gets turned down 1 time in 10, and of the few that at first say no, almost always come back.I figured gozar meams cum, but whats Oi-Ten-ta com? Quote
Members torogen Posted January 21, 2016 Members Posted January 21, 2016 Any updates on the current accepted rates in Rio? Is it still 100 R in the saunas? Quote
Axiom2020 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I don’t know what the fee request is at present, but if it is R$100, then don’t worry, for with the exchange rate being as it is, that is not much money at all. Don’t expect to pay what the locals pay, for the guys at the saunas don’t expect to receive from a tourist what he receives from a local. When I traveled to both Rio and to Sao from 2002 until 2011, I paid no more than R$100; I did not do any overnighters. Read the other threads regarding fee requests at the saunas in Brasil. Also, note the economy in Brasil has tanked, and if the quoted fee is R$100- R$150 plus, negotiate. The final, agreed to amount is the guy’s choice. JAYBLK, torogen and Badboy81 3 Quote
Guest str25 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 How is sexually safe to book a session with the rent boy, in term of STD or AIDS? It seems like fun, but quite risky. Quote
Members torogen Posted March 2, 2016 Members Posted March 2, 2016 Why would it be risky? If you are concerned, take steps to prevent an infection. The degree of risk depends on what you do, so your question is basically impossible to answer without knowing what your sexual practices are. The risk of HIV infection (which I assume is what you mean when you say AIDS), is not "quite risky" at all. mvan1 and Badboy81 2 Quote
Members Cany10011 Posted March 2, 2016 Members Posted March 2, 2016 Has anyone read Gregory Mitchell's book on garotos or rentboys working the spas in brazil? Tourist Attractions: Brazil's Sexual Economy (published November 2015). It's on amazon i believe. Looks like a great read although i'm sure not as salacious as some of the useful topics on here torogen 1 Quote
Guest str25 Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 I like cuddling, rimming, penetration and foreplay. This will be my first time in Brazil and it is somewhat new to me! What are some of your recommendations? Quote
Members handlebreak Posted March 5, 2016 Members Posted March 5, 2016 My recommendations will be somehow pretty similar to those from more experienced participants in the forum. For what you're looking for, the saunas are the perfect option. I DO NOT recommend to hire garotos from the web pages such as RentBoy, NetGay or BP. Not only the options are pretty scarce, the prices are unreasonably high! Some of these guys want to rent themselves at rates similar to an escort in NYC, and you rely on pictures that typically don't reflect the person in his current state. So, go to the saunas! It is very important you spend at least 30 minutes looking the menu; after that, put you eye in two candidates, and they will approach to you when you make eye contact. Be completely clear about your expectations, be 200% clear about the amount you are going to pay. If he don't agree 100% with your fantasy, go to the next candidate. As someone else said, in one hour they do more money that someone else in a regular job all the day so, they must have reasons to do a professional work. Lagoas in Sao Paulo is an excellent place. I will go to Rio in three weeks and will give you a more informed opinion, if that helps you. ENJOY! Axiom2020, Badboy81 and AsianExplorer 3 Quote
Guest str25 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Yes, I will be in Sao Paulo and Rio in total of two weeks so I need much information on those as possible. Thank you for your feedbacks! Quote
Members handlebreak Posted March 6, 2016 Members Posted March 6, 2016 Hi Cany10011, Thanks for your recommendation about the book! Despite it is a little academic, I found it interesting! I'm about 20% so... I will let you know my final opinion once I finish it. Cany10011 1 Quote

Members SolaceSoul Posted March 31, 2016 Members Posted March 31, 2016 Are there guys in the saunas one doesn't hire for sex? There are plenty of non-garoto (no working boy) saunas in Brazil. Just go to those if that's what you're interested in. Quote

I will go to Rio in three weeks and will give you a more informed opinion, if that helps you. ENJOY! When I began going to Brazil for its culture, history, and definitely the meeting of its gorgeous men-- I relied on the information supplied to me by guys from daddysreviews.com. In fact, one man who'd been at the site for a while was the one who introduced "ALL" of us to the sauna scene. From there my/our interests piqued, and off we went. One piece of salient advice given to me/us was NOT to go with the first man who seeks your interest. "Shop around" for as long as you deem necessary! This helped me greatly during my first and subsequent trips, for when I went to one of the saunas in Rio de janeiro which is now defunct, I went in and changed my clothes and made my "command appearance!" Few clients were there, so the men eyed me. One guy had the audacity to follow me and demand his attention. Finally, I was able to get rid of him. That evening I had two encounters. The next night I went to a different sauna and had so much fun which led me back several times before I left, and during this time there were three websites where there were ads. I solicited the services of two of these guys and did not pay overly-inflated prices or prices which are comparable to those of the US and Europe. In a few years to follow, I again hired from the saunas as well as from the websites and did not have any problems with the requested fee, for they were then quite reasonable. But, if you do not speak much Brasilian Portugese, I'd advise you to stick with the saunas and perhaps explore other arenas on your future trips. Read everything that's here as well as the not so current information that's at daddysreviews.com. If you're not a member there, join and access the past and current information. There is still a lot of value over there as well as here! Go and Explore! Let your "big head" rule over the "smaller of the two!" Treat the guys with the utmost of respect! Know the currency rate, for R$100, 150, 200 seems like a lot of money, but in actuality, it is NOT as compared to the Euro and the US dollar. Fall in love with "MOTHER BRASIL!" Please report back here to us who are always interested in the experiences of others. I hope to return in 2017 after eleven previous visits!!! Quote
Guest Bklyncouple Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 How does one find the non-garoto saunas? I'm going to be in Curitiba, Floripi and Belem for much of August. Quote
Members ihpguy Posted May 5, 2016 Members Posted May 5, 2016 Go the www.netgay.com.br and then go to roteiros, scroll down to termas/saunas. Listings are by states. Belem is in Para and there are 5. Curitiba is in Parana and there are 3 listed. Florianopolis is in Santa Catarina and there are 2 listed. I have been told by a boy from Santa Catarina that Floripa has more than two. Ditto Curitiba. But it's a start. I was in Sao Luis Maranhao twice in 2015 and I have a friend who lives there. There are at least 3 saunas in that city. So the listings are not complete. Quote
