Guest TNTTed Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 This issue was recently touched on in the Site Comments and Suggestions. I’m raising it here thinking it might be of more general interest. I was told that reviews for retired escorts are removed. What’s the rationale behind that decision? I can understand removal of pictures and contact information, but once reviewed, why wouldn’t that stand? What if the escort comes out of retirement? Are those past reviews revived, or does he start over again? Has this always been the policy? Quote

The ratonale is that reviews offer no benefit to escorts or clients once the escort is out of the business. Leaving dead reviews in with active reviews amounts to leaving chaff in with the wheat with respect to searching for an escort to hire, IMO. If it comes to our attention that a retired escort resumes working then the reviews are reactivated and updated if necessary. This is easier from a bookeeping aspect than removing photos and contact information and storing separately, while leaving dead reviews active, then trying to reassemble all data for a review activation. ALso, generally retired escorts prefer complete removal. This has always been the pollicy. Is there a compelling reason to do otherwise? Quote

Quite frankly, that's one of things that I like about this site. When I see a review I can trust that the escort is still in the business. I know one other review site that hasn't cleaned up their database for at least 2-3 years. There's nothing more frustrating than to find an escort on their site that I want to hire and then realize that the reviews are ancient and the contact info is no longer valid. I totally support the idea of removing reviews for retired escorts. Quote
