Members TownsendPLocke Posted December 9, 2008 Members Posted December 9, 2008 LA is installing new pay station parking meters. The ones downtown will run till 8 pm 6 days a week and the ones in popular areas(Hollywood,Third street,Melrose)Will run till 8 pm Monday through Wed,and till MIDNIGHT!on weekends. Most have two hour time limits and range in price from $2-$6 an hour I wonder how much the two companies that manange 80% of the parking lots in LA sliiped into the city bastards(and bitches) pockets to get this passed? I know that cities say they do this because there isn't enough parking and they want to keep people moving, but they really need to look for other answers. I hate parking meters. I avoid going downtown unless I'm sure there is going to be a garage nearby. It's funny. I don't mind paying for the parking, but having to watch the time that carefully annoys me. Quote
