Guest StevenDraker Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 From the AIDS/LifeCycle HQ It’s no secret that AIDS/LifeCycle participants are among the leaders in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Who else do you know who would voluntarily spend seven days on a bicycle seat, pedaling all the way from San Francisco to Los Angeles? It takes an extraordinary commitment to do this ride, either as a Cyclist or a Roadie, and an extraordinary commitment to raise $3,000 or $5,000 or $10,000 or more. We’re grateful for all that you do, and we’re here to support you in whatever way we can. World AIDS Day is the one day when individuals and organizations across the world join together to bring awareness to the global AIDS epidemic. We at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation will be out on the streets on World AIDS Day to show our community that HIV/AIDS is still a devastating disease and reminding people that thousands of Californians still live with HIV and AIDS on a daily basis. And here at AIDS/LifeCycle we’ve made it our goal to raise $200,000 by World AIDS Day—and here’s where you can get involved. World AIDS Day is a great opportunity to educate and motivate people around you, inviting them to support not only your efforts as an ALC participant, but to be part of a global effort to raise funds and awareness for HIV/AIDS.
