Guest StevenDraker Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Participating in AIDS/LifeCycle in June 2008 was really something special for me: just to feel part of such a strong, diverse and incredible community of people for 7 days, people trying to make a tangible difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS by biking 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It was truly a life-changing event. I trained hard, preparing myself physically and mentally for several months, but still experienced an emotional roller coaster. Even with that, I'm eager to participate again, to do what I can to try to make a difference. Last year's event had over 2300 riders and raised a record of 11,6 million dollars. HIV and AIDS are definitely not over. The fight against AIDS continues. During the coming months, I will be grateful for any support, however small or large, you can give. The cause is worthwhile. TotallyOz Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Congrats on doing this again Steven. You are to be commended. Last year, I think you raised a great deal of money. What was your final total? What is your goal for this year? Quote

What was your final total? What is your goal for this year? Thank you, Oz ! Last year I raised over $8000 - it was hard work but well worth the effort. In 2009 I hope to reach 10K. All profits go directly to the SF AIDS Foundation. Thanks again for contributing for this cause. Regards, Steven ~ Quote
