TotallyOz Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 It is getting close. Only 45 days left. The fate of the USA for generations to come may be decided on this day. My prediction stands: I think Obama will win the popular vote but McCain will win the Electoral vote. Quote
Guest Conway Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Interesting. My best guess is just the opposite. Whoever our new President is he will need our dedication and support if we are to overcome the financial crisis which we are on the brink of. As a country, i hope that we are prepared to put politics behind us for the common good of our country. Quote
Guest mineallmine Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Can we honestly ever put politics behind us. It seems that every move made is a political move with consequences to be carefully considered. It will be however interesting to see if McCain's move to put a woman on the ticket with him will over take Obama. If Obama has been smart he would have done the same thing. Though I have heard whispering that Obama being the first black president, that a woman on his ticket would have made it more difficult for him to be elected. It may have made him even more controversial. I however believe that if he had chosen Hillary, she brought more to teh table in the way of voters and supporters. Anyways just my political blathering. I usually avoid such torid topics as religion and politics. I am, however, very interested in seeing how this all plays out. Later, J. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 McCain will win for one reason and one reason only: Straight people like women who kill moose with AK-47s. This is why I'm not a straight person. Quote
Members Lucky Posted September 24, 2008 Members Posted September 24, 2008 McCain doesn't kill moose and he is still on the top of the ticket. Must be unnerving to know that his veep is such a good shot though... Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 I hope she ends up both shooting dear and getting knocked up on the White House lawn. Quote
