BiBottomBoy Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Deleting this. Discovered that the site I found the item on is full of shit. Quote
TotallyOz Posted September 21, 2008 Posted September 21, 2008 Brad Pitt announced Wednesday that he's donating $100,000 to fight California's Proposition 8, a November ballot initiative that would eliminate same-sex couples' right to marry. "Because no one has the right to deny another their life, even though they disagree with it, because everyone has the right to live the life they so desire if it doesn't harm another and because discrimination has no place in America, my vote will be for equality and against Proposition 8," the actor said in a statement. Pitt's donation marks the largest thus far to the anti-Prop. 8 campaign by an A-list celebrity. http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/la-et...1,3909224.story Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 Oz, I know. What I had found was a bad AP report that said he had donated the money in the other direction. I then noticed that every other report had it the way you have it - so I'm assuming that the site I found it on someone goofed. Quote

I just can't see Brad or Angelina doing something not politically correct. They seem to be the most loved couple on earth right behind Anthony & Cleopatra. Loved the Rome episode when she went out in style. Quote

Members Lucky Posted September 21, 2008 Members Posted September 21, 2008 It escapes me why the thread just cannot be deleted. Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted September 21, 2008 Author Posted September 21, 2008 I tried. I can't believe the story I found had the story backwards. Quote
Members Lucky Posted September 24, 2008 Members Posted September 24, 2008 I can't figure out why this thread cannot be deleted....echo Quote
BiBottomBoy Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 If I could delete it, I would. Quote
Members Lucky Posted September 24, 2008 Members Posted September 24, 2008 I know you would. So would I. Quote
Members Lucky Posted September 24, 2008 Members Posted September 24, 2008 Well, I have changed my mind. Brad Pitt must be anti-gay or this post would have been deleted. His giving $100,000 to the No on 8 campaign was just a cover for his homophobia. Quote
Members TampaYankee Posted September 24, 2008 Members Posted September 24, 2008 Build a sand box and they will come... all ages sizes shapes and colors. Same holds for mud puddles. Says something about the universe but not sure what. Quote
Members Lucky Posted September 25, 2008 Members Posted September 25, 2008 Yoou can hardly argue that your sandbox is overcrowded. It should be a simple thing to remove a thread that all agree was a mistake. Why you don't escapes me. Instead of removing it, you use your time to be snitty. Quote
TotallyOz Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 The first thread was by biboy and he changed it. The second one was from me in which I talked about Brad Pitt giving money to support gay rights in California. I think the discussion is a relevant one and even though the first post was a mistake, the discussion itself is not a mistake. I applaud Brad and Steven Spielberg who also donated money to stop the ballot in California. I am happy that BiBoy brought up the topic and I think it is relevant to the gay community. If the initial post was all that was in this thread stood alone, it would have been deleted. However, the band played on and the conversation moved forward. Quote

Now you are reading things that aren't there. Nowhere did I argue overcrowding, just all sizes shapes and colors will eventually pass through. In reality that is a very limited number in the cosmic scale. Whatever happened to not participating in a thread if one deems it useless, irrelevant or uninformative. There just is no self discipline anymore. When visiting family do you bring a white glove? Quote
TotallyOz Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 When visiting family do you bring a white glove? No, but when they visit me, they seem to go through white gloves as fast as I go through Viagra. My favorite Aunt refuses to let any of the family who have animals in their home cook for holidays. Since I am a dog man, I am allowed to bring soda and plastic containers only. I did cook some MJ Brownies one year and got a few high as a kite but that did not go over well and was chastised for it for many years. Now, I just sit back and relax and let them do all the work.
