And now for something completely different!

JC, imo, you've been the only voice of reason in this thread!

Ethan is honestly open about barebacking, and that is clear to any potential clients. There are clients who are into barebacking only and Ethan caters to that segment of the market, and both the escort and the client in this scenario will come away satisfied. Two adults willingly engaged in a risky encounter that both agree to engage in. As such, where is the "harm"? Nowhere, imo.

Live and let live! Not an opinion that will fly with this judgmental group of self-annointed judges of all that is is true and holy!

I lmao at all the "holier than thou", posters on this site and other sites, that dictate to others how they should live, in accordance to their "personal" beliefs and mores, while engaged in activities and perversions that cause the majority of society to condemn them!

Really, did the closet light burn out? Too dark in that little box they live in? Frustrated closet cases, quick to judge others while cowering in the darkness, and condemnig those who are FREE!

THANK GOD!!! Finally someone on this site that lives in a little place I call reality. Thank you man. I haven't been big on these sites before, Ethan had just impressed me so much I wanted to review him. Of course they won't post his review (I'm so sure it has nothing to do with this). So he is being punished for me???? Interesting concept, good thing he could give a damn. Regardless I got caught up with all these judgmental fags who exemplify everything I hate about being a gay man: superficial, fake, ignorant, judgmental and unexperienced. My whole point was why bash the kid when he is the one being honest. All of there "beloved" escorts that are "safe only" I have shot my load in them the same way I did Ethan. Maybe I should write my review of the MER A-List Escorts I've slept with raw. Thats a fantastic idea, think I'll do that. Wonder if those get published? Stay real man.

JC,

You're more "holier than thou" than of us you're accusing. Your holiness is that you think we should support suicidal behavior. You're judging this behavior every bit as much as we are. You're just judging it as OK.

I have clear data-driven reasons for disparaging this behavior. Data that you aren't interested in looking at.

15 years ago, people didn't bareback. now it's a "market segment". That is sick, twisted and deadly to our community. Young kids listen to what the community is saying. When they hear barebacking is ok, they do it. And then have to live with that for as long as they can.

What we as a community condone matters. If we don't send a clear signal that this is self-destructive behavior, we lose another generation. I'm not ok with that.

A fatal virus that has no cure isn't a market segment. So yeah, I'm going to beat the dead horse. Because even if you don't listen to me, I hope others will.

I actually respect what you are saying and I understand your point of view when you are calm and explain it in a humane manner and not a vicious one. You get more with honey than vinegar and if you would apply that to your crusade you might draw in more people. The "holier than thou" approach pushes people, even some that may agree with you, off because you just sound like a bitch. When you speak from your heart, as in this posting, you get peoples attention and your point is more clearly articulated. Nice job. So my question to you is shouldn't we apply this urgency to "our" communities other "extra curricular" activities we are so notorious for as well? Tina alone is taking as many, if not more lives, than the virus. I don't see anyone addressing those deadly behaviors. No one is talking about their cocaine habits or GHB addictions or their alcoholism? We turn a blind eye to those things for what reason? Because we are guilty of those so lets not bring them up? Or is it because we are lying to ourselves and saying those aren't just as deadly and serious behaviors that plague this community? I'm not accusing anyone, I'm just opening up the forum to debate on the topic.

Again, nice job at articulating your point.

I would like to address the issue of passing along the HIV virus.

This past fall I was diagnosed HIV+. I thought I had been practicing safe sex, but apparently -- I have been able to tolerate the cocktail with only a few minor complications, instead of diarrhea I was constipated, I am a diabetic and my diabetes regiment has been skewed a bit. All and all the day to day complications have been pretty minor -- but -- my co-pays for the cocktail are a few hundred a month. Without health insurance that would be a couple thousand. I see a couple different physians on an ongoing basis every few months, the copays are only $20, the blood work and other tests they specify are $$????.

My partner is not HIV+.

What if he contract this?

What if I lose my job and my health insurance??

If we lose our jobs -- how are we going to afford keeping me healthy???

I am going to be fifty years old. I remember the time when what was happening was a mystery. I am one of the most fortunate, as I managed to avoid the virus until this late. I was diagnosed while the ELISA was positive, but the Western Blot was negative, it was the viral load that provided the "o shit."

The drugs that are available today are as amazing a penicillin was forty years ago. But getting HIV is not the same as catching a cold, this is forever. This isn't cheap. This means that if I have to get health insurance on my own that I may not be able to afford insurance and a place to live....

My point is this -- to pretend that HIV is no big deal is foolish. To think that there are no consequences for being HIV+ is foolish. To be HIV+ and pass it on is approaching evil.

To not be HIV+ and to go about as though it doesn't exist is being stupid.

Practicing safe sex is not a guarantee, but it is the best we got. If you run around without an umbrella you may get wet. Problem is HIV is a bit of a bigger problem than just getting wet.
