Spent over an hour writing up a review for an escort, only to get to the preview part and discovering that even though my encounter took place in MY city ( where the system had asked me to list), the escort is not from MY city- so when i previewed, i was asked to select an escort from MY city- (he has a MER profile) which he is not listed in!

Help appreciated!

I used to preview all the time, and often had problems -- mostly reviews deleting themselves in the preview process. I attributed it to my own computer ineptitude rather than something wrong with the site. I got around it by not previewing any more. I scroll back and proofread my stuff, then submit. My system of avoidance has worked for me. Maybe it would for you, however different your problem is from mine.

Ughhh.... This is the first feedback I have received about the preview screwing up review submittal. Sorry for the frustation and lost work for present and past efforts. Please DO NOT USE the preview process until it can be investigated and fixed. I will ask the programmers to deactivate in the interim.

It is always good practice to prepare or copy volatile text 9 (i.e. reviews or any other text that evaporates after some process) in a text editor eg. MSWord, Notepad etc. I have suffered many losses over the years when not doing. It still bites me in the ass sometimes, even after learning the lesson the hard way so many times. :(

Update: The problem does arise when an escort review is listed in a city not the home city of the escort. Review form asks if escort has profile and if so then a pop up box listing escorts in selected city appears. Since the escort not listed in travel city he cannot be found. Software presently requires selection of escort profile in order to proceed. (This requirement will be changed.) Changing the location causes all info in form to be dumped. :(

I have asked for software change such that the escort profile selection in POP UP BOX is not necessary to submit the review. In the mean time please use home city for escort review and give appointment city in experience BOX OR list escort as having no profile to avoid POP UP BOX. The former solution is preferred but either will suffice in the interim.

I will post update when permanent fix is completed and these workarounds are unnecessary.

My own update:

AAAGH again! OK, went thru the posting a review steps AGAIN- filling in all the boxes, etc..and then when i got to the Experience part, i went into Word to Copy & Paste...except that the MER system won't allow me to paste! when i right-click to paste, i get a MER programmed box with the cut, copy of paste selection- NOT a Windows based cut copy n paste selection box. I'm not a programmer, but what i THINK the system is reading is that if the text is from WITHIN the MER site (say from the forum here, i copied and pasted a comment into the Submit Reviews- Experience section, it would work...but since I'm copying and pasting from OUTSIDE the MER program, it's not "reading" the command to paste my Word text into the MER section as MER site computer code/language).

As I've seen others do here in the forum, I know members can post links to websites, pix, and articles here in the forum from an "outside" source, but it appears with me that i cannot post an "outside" source (in my case a MSWord text source) into the body of an escort review (yes, i just realized, that did sound a little kinky!). :o

Hope that explanation was detailed/clear enough to be able to assist and conquer the problem.

Did i somehow get designated as the "MER Beta tester" guinea pig to find all the bugs in the system??!!

Sorry again for your frustration but this time I have no help to offer. We must live in orthogonal universes. :o

I NEVER have had a problem cutting from an outside application and pasting into MER. I simply use Cntl C (in Word in this case) and Cntl V (in MER window in this case) to do the surgery deed. I dont know nothin' about right clicks for cutting and pasting.

I came of age in the land of One-Cick and I came to navigate with limitation but well enough in the land of Double-Click. If the latter permits right-click Copy and Paste it wouldn't be unbelievable that is may be context dependent. I leave that for someone that actually understands the Land of Double-Click.

OK- very good news- the keyboard commands for cut, copy, paste worked exactly as TY suggested- My very first review has been submitted! ^_^

I will be forever baffled as to how two techniques that should accomplish the same goal have drastic results when applting said techniques to same goal!! I'm a "right-clicker" as long as i can remember, but I'm left-handed....go figure! (ok, that last part kinda sounded dirty again! :P
