Members KYTOP Posted January 24, 2008 Members Posted January 24, 2008 I've heard mention of this party for next month, including an afterparty held by a fellow named Oliver- could someone elaborabe on this event if they have (or will) attend? It is actually in Palm Springs, Feb 16 &17, and is a theatre weekend orgainized by poster Lucky. Oliver has a party at his condo that sunday as part of the weekend activies. I attended last year and had a great time. Scott Adler was there last year and I got to spend some "quality" time outside the scheduled events Plus found out his online personality and in person personality seem to be 2 different beings. I had planned to attend again this year but High airfare from KY plus some health problems will probably keep me away Quote
Members Lucky Posted January 25, 2008 Members Posted January 25, 2008 Sorry we won't see you this year in Palm Springs, KYTop. I've been trying to get my old friend Townsend Locke to return ths year, but no luck yet. Maybe it has to be sponsored by Brandon Baker before he will come...or else we'll just have to set up a paper convention! Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted January 28, 2008 Members Posted January 28, 2008 I do hope that there is more info forthcoming for the readers of THIS website(whom I have named MERmen)and I know the gracious hosts will be extending an invite to us as well. Looking forward to it. Quote
Members Lucky Posted January 28, 2008 Members Posted January 28, 2008 How many invitations do you need, Townie? You know, we're not all in the paper business. I ordered engraved invitations and they came back blank. So I hired a calligrapher, and then the writers went on strike, so I'm still left with blank invitations. How about sending one of your boys out here to help me...he could lick the, umm, envelopes! To Mr. Townsend P. Locke, and the 14,902 MERmen, You are cordially invited to the 4th Annual ******** Theater Night, to be held on the sixteenth of February, 2008, in Palm Springs, California. RSVP http://www.samflaxny.com/prodimg/532279.jpg Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 9, 2008 Members Posted February 9, 2008 Townie, that was a brilliant idea to add the invitation over here. So far, we have received inquires from 11,104 of the 15,027 members. I am hiring extra staff to respond to all those folks, so if you don't hear from me soon, just drop me a line again and I am sure you get a reply...perhaps before next year's event! We may have to rent the convention center next year, and, if that happens, I am turning the whole thing over to Brandon Baker! Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted February 9, 2008 Members Posted February 9, 2008 So glad to help Lucky and the number of replies must be because of the promotion you have done on THIS message center rather than the "other place"(where they are too busy remenesicng over strip clubs that have long since closed-geesch some of the posters over there do tend to live in the past)your efforts will be well rewarded. And the Palm Springs Convention Center would be a wonderful venue for a big party next year.It is close to a hospital with a very good geriatric unit in case some of the attendees get a little too excited As it stands now I will be attending dinner and the pool party.I am flying in from SF after attending Brandon Bakers fierce Pre GAYVN party friday night at the Endup. http://partywithbrandon.blogspot.com/2008/...-pre-party.html Tje gathering in PSP will be a nice chance to relax after getting all worked up being surrounded by cute guys and hot studs. Hope to see lots of old friends and make some new ones in Palm Springs. Quote
Members TownsendPLocke Posted February 13, 2008 Members Posted February 13, 2008 See you boys there Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 13, 2008 Members Posted February 13, 2008 We are looking forward to your arrival. Townie. Next year I think that Tampa Yankee and Totally Oz will both be there. In that event, we will drop the "Hooville" from the name! Quote
Guest EurythmicThrust Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Is the soon-to-be renamed Hooville party only held this one time of the year? I've referred a few guys to it the last month or so, but i can't make it this weekend as the GAYVN's are happening in SF, and I'm trying to make arrangements with one Jesse Santana, amongst others... Townie, I PM'ed ya with my private email re: the preparty at Endup.. Quote
Members Lucky Posted February 14, 2008 Members Posted February 14, 2008 ET- yes, it's an annual event. Palm Springs gets its best weather starting about now. You can see it in the parking lots- every other vehicle is out of state. In April there's the White Party. I've scheduled it for President's day weekend because out of towners like that extra day off of work to travel. Yet hotels are pricey at the same time, so I have a couple of guys staying with me. It's also determined because of the theater schedule. But if there's enough interest, we can try to move it next year to a non-holiday weekend. Quote
Guest Oliver Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 As it stands now I will be attending dinner and the pool party. Hope to see lots of old friends and make some new ones in Palm Springs. Hope to see you there, Townie! As an adjunct to H....... Theatre Night on Saturday, February 16, there will be a “DO†at my rental condo Sunday afternoon, February 17 – (cannot have a “party†so we’ll call it a Bash, Celebration, Festivity, Gala, Shindig, Fete, or a “DO†– pick one). Last year we celebrated the Chinese New Year. Maybe a late Valentine? Hope for good weather, as the pool and spa are very private. A chance to meet othersand an escort or two (or three or more). Raul Manzo and Jason Carter will be there. If you would like to join us, please let me know (preferably sooner than the day before ). Oliver Quote
Guest epigonos Posted February 18, 2008 Posted February 18, 2008 A hardy thank you to both Lucky and Oliver for putting together an outstanding weekend in Palm Springs. Dinner was fantastic and although Evita didn't work out, because of a box office mess up, we all had a wonderful time. Oliver's open house was great fun. As usual the food was delicious and it is always a pleasure to spend time with forum friends. Escorts Raul and Jason where great additions to the party and added new dimensions to the afternoon. Thanks again guys. Quote
