TotallyOz Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 The comedy fell short on making me laugh. I found it offensive and old. I hated the gay sterotypes and I hope that is NOT the way middle America sees us. The jokes mostly bombed and the funniest part was at the end when Lance Bass sang a song at a gay wedding. The critical consensus was on your side. One of our locals called it an offense, not to gays but to comedy. Yet, sticking to the pattern established by other Sandler films shredded by the critics, this one was #1 at the box office for the weekend! It beat out even Harry Potter. The people have spoken. Mencken was a prophet. Quote
