Guest dale1
From my home computer here in Pattaya, for several days I have not been able to access Sawatdee Forum using my normal link <http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/forum-9.html> I have tried using only <http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com> but that has not worked either. Tried the link at the bottom of Boxer's web page and that did not work. And the "Other Links" on this web page does not give me anything, but Fatal error: Smarty error: unable to write to $compile_dir '/var/www/vhosts/gaythailand.com/httpdocs/smarty/templates_c'. Be sure $compile_dir is writable by the web server user. in /var/www/vhosts/gaythailand.com/httpdocs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1144 The only way that I could get in is to use the proxy address which does not let me post. http://www.walkingreptile.com/ Anybody can help??? Thanks.

There is nothing wrong with your computer for the error cited above. Since the server crash, few area of the site still needs to be corrected. The links section is one of them. It should be corrected soon.

Guest dale1
THIS PM DID SOLVE MY PROBLEM>>>>>>>>>> THANKS >> AM BACK ON TO SAWATDEE WELL AND GOOD.>>>> DALE ===================================== Well, tell him not to feel bad. I can't log on on gaythailand.com. I haven't gone there in months and can't remember my login info and won't take either of my email addresses when I try to reregister. Tell dale to try this url: http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/index.php That is the real url of the forum index. Those urls he mention are from the mod_rewrite rule I am using in my .htaccess files. It generates those .html file extensions for all urls on the board for users who are not logged-in. It makes all the pages look more important in search engines. This has nothing to do with any politically motivated censorship in Thailand, but has to do with the fact that whatever Dale is using to access the web is not equiped to handle the mod_rewrite rule for Apache servers. I'm not sure if it is his ISP's configuration, or that of his browser or perhaps the internet options settings? I really don't know much about that stuff, but I do know that this mod_rewrite is a web-wide standard for many dynamic websites, so he should be able to view the altered urls. I dunno, though, Once you log-in you are supposed to get the real urls, which look like this:http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/privmsg.php?mode=reply&p=6740 followed by "sid" and somethig like 50 digits. I suppose if he was already logged-in and tried to click on a link to the altered .html version of a url, he might get an error, but theoretically, it should just forward him to the real .php version of the page. So, first he should try logging-out, if he isn't already, and then try deleting cookies and sessions, then close and reopen his browser, then go to http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com. That should forward right to the forum index, if not add a /forum or /forum.php. at the end of the .com. The path to the Gay Thailand forum, which is that forum-9.html in the mod-rewrite url, is http://www.sawatdee-gay-thailand.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9. Otherwise, maybe he should contact his ISP. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I can't log on on gaythailand.com. I haven't gone there in months and can't remember my login info and won't take either of my email addresses when I try to reregister. I just can't read this comment without saying anything. This is a copy and paste text but I just wanted to reply " To Whom wrote this above " What a strange comment from the author to say such thing. " tell him not to feel bad cause I can't log on on gaythailand.com " . You can't just compare a site that has a blocked access to some basic stuff that you forget. The poor thing can't remember his login info ? How is this possible ? Well may be an email to admin is always an option as you don't need to be logged in to contact us. There is a difference between not wanting to log in and not being able to log in sweet heart. There is always someone that has to say some strange comments out there. Whatever.
