Your Favorite Bar

Recommended Posts

Obviously one of the major topics of discussion on these message boards is the gay bar scene in Thailand. I'm curious as to whether people have particular bars they would call their favorite, whether in Pattaya, Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, or wherever in Thailand. I'm not really asking that people specify reasons why any one bar would be their favorite, although please feel free to say why if you wish. But I think it will be very interesting to see which bars people seem to like most of all. Do you have a favorite?

Was in Jupiter, Bangkok last night. It was truely an extravaganza Lunar new year show. At about 10pm they started the opening show with introdiction to the boys one after the other on the stage, then the 3 fast dances by the various gorgeous dancers. A 15 mins breaks before the started the main show. The rest of the shows are very creatives, acrobatics, seductive and some even exposed their asset. The atmosphere was Kung Hee Fatt Chai. Well composed and choreograph. No wasting of customers time. And the dancers were very polite when they move around in the densed crowd. Jupiter has alway be my best boy bar.

Here's a vote for a bar in Phuket. I just returned and was impressed with My Way. They are actually doing something quite different. In addition to the boys (some of them, anyway) actually dancing, they have a unique rotation routine. Instead of peeling off one by one, a set of boys (maybe 15 or 20) dance on stage for some time then all of a sudden they all clap their hands, vacate the stage and another set of boys appear.

In addition, their show is actually fun. It starts off with the gogo boys all showing their stuff doing various gymnastic routines singly, in pairs, and in a group. Following that is an atypical caberet show. I'm not a big fan of looking at lady boys dressed as women lip synching songs, but My Way fills the stage with enough scantily clad or lavishly costumed guys to accompany the performer my interest did not wane. I actually enjoyed the show for once.

When in Phuket, give My Way a try (there aren't a lot of other gogo bar alternatives, anyway).

ON my last trip my favorite outside bar was the Cruise bar which I now understand is gone. It had the best location for people watching. My favorite gogo bar was Jimmy Jimmy James but I have heard my favorite has moved on or found a sugar daddy. The second choice would have be Kboys mainly because of the variety of boys found there. I did not go into Boys Town last trip as I mostly went witht he one guy from JJJ. Am looking forward to spending more time inJomtiem Comples this trip. April hurry up.

In Pattaya -- Gentlemen's Club....The nicest boys that are my "type"

In Phuket -- Passport Pub and Sby Sby Bar....Small quiet places, but very friendly

In Bangkok -- Classic Boys....Good boys, great shows, nice watertank

My favorite bar in the world is My Way in Phuket. I love the boys, the customer service, and the high energy shows. I haven't found a bar in BKK or Chiang Mai to compare, and I have never been to Pattaya, so I cannot comment on that city.

My favorite bar in BKK is Jupiter 2002 and in CM is Circle. I've been to gay bars in Hat Yai and Chiang Rai as well.

However, IMO, it is easy to enjoy almost any gay bar in LOS. Just open a bottle and invite a few cute guys to drink with you. Instant party.

My Favorite Bar in Pattaya is definitely : Come in Bar. As a Go Go place, I would choose Khaos now. Improved a lot in the last 6 months. But I always enjoyed XXX that is gone now ( replaced by Krazy Dragon ).

Krazy Dragon has a great design but I can't stand the amount of Cigarette Smoke. I don't smoke and everytime I go there, I just get sick and get a huge migraine because of the smoke. So I gave up.

Bangkok : I like " Classic Boy ".

Phuket : I like " My way ".

Chiang Mai : I like the " Paradise Bar & MTVee Bar "

Does JJJ still have the same manager? I heard he had moved to Sundance. I always found him to be friendly and knowledgeable about what the guy's will and won't do.

The manager/mamsan at JJJ is NU and he has been there for a long time. I believe the mamasan from Sundance (or maybe Euro), EM is now working as a doorman, or rather, shill at JJJ.

Without doubt the best gogo bar in Pattaya or Bangkok is Funny Boys in Boyztown.

Very comfortable seating, bearable music sound level, immaculate toilet/washroom facilities, nice decor, un-watered drinks, no pushy mamasan, few lady boys and no under-age kids.

For a normal drinking bar Panorama (again Boyztown) is the best.

I didn't go to any gogo bar for more than a year, and I've been going to Saphan Kwai host bars till December last year (before I know the cruising area/ bars for the local behind Jatujak park). I went to a couple of gogo bars last night with my Hag (I didn't knew DJ station opens only at 1030) yesterday, and visit a couple of bars.

I've to say that I liked Futureboy (and they have a wide selection of boys, from twinks to hunky folks), than I went over to HotMale. Hot Male has quite a number of boys too, but I think I like the waiter more (In fact, I like him alot!) - unfortunately my girl (a fag-hag) is with me..

Does anyone know if we're suppose to pay the waiter more, than I would with a go-go boy?

DJ station is fantastic. There's really no other gay disco that come close to them (i may have to admit that I didn't step foot into G.O.D yet, the rest in Bangkok - I've been).

You on commission from the owner, as it is the same person.

My Life needs to change its chairs. They are bloody uncomfortable. The hotel place next door is better for sitting in. Panorama is my least fav bar in Boyztown.

Sunnee is Memories and The Place To Be. No go-go in Sunee is any good at the moment.

Commission? I Wish !!

And agree about the chairs in My Life - in addition the waiters need to get their shirts into the laundry more often - most of them are filthy and stink of sweat/stale cigarette smoke (the shirts, that is !!) :(

Try My Way in BKK for a pleasant change of pace. No pushy mamasan's, reasonable drink prices, and boys that like to play in the bar. Took one off from here, took another to the short time room. It's easy to relax here, music is not too loud. Also the show at Dream boys is still good. And on Koh Samui try Corner guy bar for fun. I just returned March 15th, and of course missing LOS.

Did you go there recently ? I read somewhere that in "My Way" the boys are now fully clothed like in a host bar ...

Yes, I was in BKK 20th Feb thru March 15th 2007. In "My Way" BKK sometimes the boys have their shirts off, somtimes not. Sometimes they have their dicks out, playing with them, sometimes not. All one has to do is ask them to "Take shirt off" and they oblige. The bar is located about 30 steps from Rama IV, no problem walking there. Loved it there. Pingalicker.

I think the best bar in Thailand is My Way. It is the only one I never get bored with night after night and always enjoy both the show and the boys.

In Pattaya, I like Jimm Jimmy James and Throb/Splash.

In Bangkok, I like Dream Boys and Future Boys. I never really got into Jupiter but will give it another try when I return.

In Chiang Mai, I really enjoyed the bar with the Spider Man show. I forget the name right now but very vividly remember the boy. :)
