Problem with Searches

Have been trying to search back to the thread dealing with wills in Thailand as I'd like to find a good lawyer in Bangkok to do this for me. However, every time I click 'search', I get a notice saying I must be logged in first. I have done this more than ten times AFTER logging in - but it is always the same! Is 'search' only available for some sort of premium?

No but cookies problems is sort of Platinum.

Till few days ago, there were a glitch in the system, that allowed member to register to the forum without registering to the site. By doing so, it would create problems like yours. Double log in problems. I have removed this feature once for all and you must log out and clear the cookies for this site.

It should fix your problems.

Also, if you log out, get back to the message board entrance page ( you are still logged out ) and you will see, under the list of forum, there is the options to : Erase the cookies of this board. You can also do this.

But you must be logged out by all means

Let me know.

Tks

I am not great with computers and so I followed your 2nd suggestion - logging out and clicking the erase cookies line. But now every time I log in, I cannot get the View New Posts section - again it says I must be logged in even though I am logged in!

Ok let's do this. We will make it work this time.

Few questions :

What Browser are you using ? Internet Explorer or something else ? Also is it your own computer ?

I would really suggest you :

1- to log out from your account, from the top menu ( where it should gives you the username you are logged in with ) ,

2- close internet explorer,

3- Click " Start " then choose " Control Panel ", then look for the " Internet Options ", click on it.

4- You will see the Cookies Options. Just Click Erase.

It depends what you are using your computer for, but if it is not yours, just do thise few steps and you should be set. If it is your computer, you might want to go through the cookies and search for the " GayThailand " cookies and remove them.

Cause if you remove all cookies, it will remove every cookies kept for all sites you usually go at.

You are not the only one having this problem, and following this few steps will correct the trouble.

This is for internet explorer. I am not sure about the other browser. Just let me know and I can look into it for you.

You can also remove cookies manually. Here's how, if you are using Windows XP:

1. Open your Windows Explorer

2. Open the Documents and Settings folder

3. There should be a folder with your own name, assuming you used your name when you first installed Windows XP. If not, then you need to find the folder with the name you used when Windows XP was first installed. Either way, that's the folder to open.

4. Open the Local Settings folder

5. Open the Temporary Internet Files folder

6. Now you will see all the cookies you've got. You can remove whichever cookies you don't want by highlighting them, right-clicking, and deleting.

There is also a much simpler way if all else fails. Just send me a PM, tell me what you want to search for, and I'll try to find it for you and send you back the links.
