Guest comment Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I only watch a few television shows 24, Heroes, Deal or No Deal and Lost. This past Wednesday began the second half of the season for Lost and it continues to keep me right at the edge. For the first time we see flashbacks of one of the "others" life. However it brings up more questions than were answered. Does this show make anyone else as crazy as it does me? Quote

Lost and a few other Lost wannabes raise soaps to a new level. I hate shows that require you not miss a minute to understand the rationale for what is happening in the next minute or episode or month or year. This show raised it not only by jumping in time back and forth interminably and now to the sides -- all seventeen. Not for me. Neither is 24 for me. It is just the type of show genre I love -- suspense, intrigue, espionage, revenge,... But it turned out to be a gross exhibition of loosers loosing it with grand consistency -- a steady diet of contrived frustration where, continually, the bone remains just out of reach or lost so quickly after being obtained. I came to realize this when I saw several shows back to back -- which was pretty much how I was introduced to it. I dont care much for contrived continual frustation. Not as entertainment anyway. I'll take Rome or Enemy of the State over either of them any day. However, there seem to be many who love both shows so call me an outlyer I guess. :7 Quote
TotallyOz Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I have all the Lost episodes on my computer but have yet to finish season 1. I save them for when I am stuck in hotels and have tons of time. From what I have seen, I do enjoy it. I love 24 and think it is one of the best things out there. I have never even heard of Deal or No Deal. TV certaintly has changed a great deal since I was a lad. I was so excited each year when Gone with the Wind came on TV. That was about as good as it got. TotallyOz Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 An old law school buddy of mine was from the deep south. He was black, massive, sexy and former military. He was also queer as a three dollar bill. Anyway, growing up his father was a highly sought after exec. He would get offers from many companies. When they approached him his response to them was always, "when you get your money right, we'll talk." I think many escorts take the same approach. Why waste time when the money is not right? Get the money right and the talks will begin. Quote
