Members TampaYankee Posted December 11, 2006 Members Posted December 11, 2006 From time to time we see some great eye catching escorts appear on the scene that cause a wave of interest in the community. That is good. With all new faces on the scene there is uncertainty, hence the usefulness of sites like this. However we as a community fly blind in the beginning too. There is no a priori reason to believe that these profiles and the guys behind them are suspect and hopefully they are not. However, they are UNKNOWN quantities. They often involve apparent newbies that may not have the confidence, comfort level and wherewithall to actually get on a plane and fly to meet a stranger in a strange city without credit cards or a bankroll to fall back on. It is not suprising that some may request funds up front. It is also not suprising that they might not have the fortitude to follow through on the commitment when the chips are down and the engines are revving. Also, some scams in the past advertised striking young escorts, many from the Heartland that were remote to almost everyone. Hence the likelihood that an engagement would involve travel. Few clients want to travel to the hinterlands for an hour or a day. Thus is is likely that interested clients want the escort to travel to them. This provides the opening to request funds up front for the same reasons cited above by good intentioned newbie escorts. From the client side, without any track record, it is impossible to distinguish the two circumstances. But one thing his clear, both circumstances seem high risk. Let common sense be your guide. If you choose to pursue an opportunity of this kind, please recognize the risk you run and be prepared for the loss. The one positive aspect of a bad experience is your warning to others. Quote
