Members BigK Posted September 16, 2006 Members Posted September 16, 2006 How come the most recently active post is not at the top of its forum? Is there a setting I'm missing? I usually end up just checking read new. Thanks Quote

The thread with the most recent post is placed at the top of the forum by default. However, the admin or moderator can pin a thread which fixes it as the top of the forum. Quote
Members BigK Posted September 17, 2006 Author Members Posted September 17, 2006 Right now the top posts to the Pub are as follows: Last Updated You're gay because of your older brothers 6/27 Yea, we're all about being fair 9/4 Willie Nelson sings 2/20 Why did you decide to be in this message ctr 2/13 Why bother with M4M 8/10 And the order changes every time I log in. Members TampaYankee Posted September 17, 2006 Members Posted September 17, 2006 BigK, I'm going to have tp shut you off and call a taxi to take you home. :+ It seems you have inadvertently sorted your threads by topic, not latest update. Just click on 'latest date' column to resort. Quote
Guest twinklover Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I had the same slightly annoying problem. At the top of the columns for a forum listing all topics, you can click on "last updated date" and have the topics with the most recent posts on top. I think this is what you guys are referring to and TY's answer helped me. I have not seen "user options" for all the forums, i.e., a place you get set all your displays (newest first, etc.), how far topics go back, etc., like the Atkol forums have. Am I missing this? Quote

Am I missing >this? TL: I am not sure about the all of the preferences you want... but if you go to the opening page of any forum after you have logged in (like the Pub, Buffet, etc) on the top of the page right under the banner there is a small white space that begins with "FAQ". The second to the last option is "user menu." If you click on that, you can set your preference for how far back you want topics to go at least and other sundry things. Quote
Guest twinklover Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Thanks Marc. I forgot where that was located--user menu and then "edit preferences". I'm getting older and more forgetful of such details but I still never forget a cute boy's face. :-) That's unforgettable! I may be taking a short break from these forums and getting back to searching for the unforgettable--lol. Can you believe some of the banter posted recently on the escort site forums? Rockhard apparently returned from his month-long vacation in Italy and has a 9/15/06 "I'm back" post on M4M. After pointed comments to many posters and bloggers, Rockhard says: "I offer my life experience for no other reason than to inspire someone. If I provide one reader with satisfaction and/or motivation then my goal has been achieved. I don't need to know it." http://m4m.message-forum.net/dcboard.php?a...id=103309&page= Also check out "Postcards from Sardinia - A Developing Collection..." here at http://www.maleescortreview.com/dcscript/d...sg_id=905&page= Robin exclaims to Batman: "Holy Haughty Holder of Hubris!" "Am I doing something wrong" by spending time on this banter? Quote

Actually, that's the main reason that I visit these forums/sites.... to bridge gaps between my searches for the unforgettable. And maybe to sharpen my compass for the proper directions to increase the chance that I'll find it (him) lol. No one will blame you if you aren't here and doing that instead, that's for sure. Quote
Members BigK Posted September 18, 2006 Author Members Posted September 18, 2006 Just click on 'latest date' column to resort. Thanks, That did the ... trick. Quote
