Members KYTOP Posted September 5, 2006 Members Posted September 5, 2006 Well my celebration of turning 50 has come to a close. I think turning 50 is officailly the point that one can say they are getting old. I feel great and young inside but get a reality check each time I look in the mirror. I wanted to do something special for my 50th birthday and (former escort) Bobby Thompson told me I should travel to some place I liked, felt at ease at, and knew I would have a good time, instead of trying to discover an unknown place. So I at first I decided on Thailand but then started looking my my vacation time, work schedule, and with the help of Hotel points decided to really plan a celebration to my 3 favorite places in the world. With Vacation time, work schedule, and the help of Holidays I was able, since the first of July, to spend 10 days in Thailand (Pattaya & Bangkok), 9 Days in Brazil (Rio & Sao Paulo) and end things up with 4 full nights of fun in Montreal all within about 60 days. Plus in the middle of all this my favorite escort, Ethan/Nashville, decided to come out of retirement and I've had the pleasure of seeing him twice now. It has been a fantastic time and I am very thankful I was able to do this at this point in my life. I wish everyone could be able to have such an adventure at least once in their life. With Hotel points most of my hotel stays were free and I had a few airline discount coupons, from their previous flubups, to take some of the sting off of the airfares. The most expensive part of the adventure was actually the time spent with the boys at the Montreal strip clubs. Brazil and Thai boy time was very cheap when compared to Montreal. A special thanks to Danilo for his help in making my Brazil trip such a success. Well I got back home to a invitation from AARP in the mail ;( but after this trip I still feel young (now if I can just stay away from mirrors) I am reminded this day of my favorite saying: Happiness is a journey...not a destination. And what a great journey it has been. Well it is now back to reality, but what memories. :+ Quote
