Guest Martelly
Was in the Cartier Cl the other night. As usual there was only one other furlang. I had 3 beers at 150 baht each (SInga as they no longer to Heinekin). On checking bill i said to the owner that i was going to meet some friends, but i would pay of one of the boys and will phone the owner at around 11.30pm to meet the boy. He told me not to pay the bar fine, pay the bar fine to the boy when he arrives. I spoke with the manager at 11.30pm and he sent the boy to my home. It was only for a short time, so I payed the boy 1000 baht for him,300 baht for bar and 200 baht for the motorbike taxis. Total 1500 baht. The boy then asked for another 200 baht, saying the bar fine is 500baht. I thought the boy was trying it on, so he telephoned the owner and i spoke with him. He also said 500baht, which i said why 300 baht in bar, he said home service cost more. Maybe a reason why this bar is empty. I no its only 200 baht, but i hate to be ripped off. I only paid the 300 baht and i will not be going there again.
Gaybutton
I'm somewhat mixed in my opinion of what you wrote. I can understand why "out-call" service would be more expensive, but you definitely should have been told the price at the time you made the arrangement. Also asking 200 baht for motorcycle taxis is far too much. You can go from any "Point A" to any "Point B" in Pattaya for no more than 60 baht. Since Cartier is only a short distance from the most popular gay hotels, I doubt that the boy has to pay more than 30 baht each way. In all honesty, I don't understand how Cartier expects to stay in business. I don't understand why they decided to put a gay bar at that location in the first place. It's nowhere near any other venues the gay community is likely to frequent and I know of nothing they do to make the bar more attractive in order to get people to go there. I see little difference between that bar and anything else you can find in the popular locations. People who have been there keep telling me the bar is almost always empty of customers. Maybe one or two other customers and that's it. That was also my experience the one time I went there. Charging inflated prices is not my idea of how to attract and keep a clientele. I'm usually very supportive of gay venues, but if one is going to charge inflated prices, that's the end of my support.

butterfly
I went to Cartier Boys last night for their 11.30 'sexy boy' show. I was the only customer, but the lads made an effort and the show was indeed sexy, without being explicit. The bar is nicely layed out and I'm sure a few baht has been spent in getting it right. Their big problem - a lousy location. People are not going to troop all the way up there unless there is a bloody good reason to do so. And there isn't. The show is sexy, but no where near as sexy or explicit as some shows in Sunee or indeed pattayaland soi 1. The fact that they charge 150 baht for a pretty weak 100 Pipers and water won't help their cause either. I didn't check the off prices because the boys were a tad too butch for my taste. Anyone looking to buy a ready-made gogo bar cheaply in the near future should keep an eye on this one. Fill it with sexy ladies and you might just have a chance. Air con and no smoke machine might help first.
