Guest FourAces Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 For those who might have missed his inaugural post Lucky has joined us today. I want to be the first to openly welcome him to the M.E.R. Forum. With that said I am somewhat concerned and even wondering if we have the "real" Lucky. Are you sure you'll be comfortable posting on a site you swore you never would post of? I don't mean this to sound rude or offensive but this message center is for those of free thought. On the message center you know well the one where the main site closed today they censor thought. Some people are clearly more comfortable in that type of environment. To be able to email a moderator pal or create hostility due to your own personal conservative views on everything is not something tolerated here. Once again this forum supports free thought. I sure hope you're the "real" Lucky. Actually I recall a post made by you that clearly stated you would never be part of a site because OZ was a supporter of the right to bareback and the owner of the very popular barebacking site bareback.com So possibly you aren't the "real" Lucky. because the "real" Lucky would never acknowledge a site such as M.E.R. I do remember an interesting quote that you posted, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” Doesn't your presence here create an internal conflict between your "two masters?" If you are the "real" Lucky we sure can use someone with your knowledge, sincerity and respectability to add value to this forum. -FourAces Quote
Guest mbarz Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 LOL Four Aces, it was established long ago that Lucky was a hypocrite, but you know that. I am surprised he registered here under the "Lucky" handle, I would have thought he would have used one of his many aliases from ES, you know, mvan, mebaron or one of his other more "original" ones. Members TampaYankee Posted August 2, 2006 Members Posted August 2, 2006 We welcome everyone who observes the Message Center Policy. That is our only litmus test. I join in welcoming Lucky. PS We also welcome competing site operators. I mention this only because tonight I tried to submit a post at the m4m.message-forum.net site only to find that while I could login, create and preview a post, it was not accepted for display in the message thread. ;( Could I be under moderation? How ironic as I was one of the first members to be granted unmoderated status after HooBoy instituted universal moderation in response to the first great meltdown. Also, daddy went on record during Tri's South American start-up that he didn't care to censor competition and would be helpful if he could. The comment was stated generally, not specifically with respect to Tri although it was in response to that event. Quote
TotallyOz Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 >If you are the "real" Lucky we sure can use someone >with your knowledge, sincerity and respectability to add value >to this forum. > >-FourAces Let me join with FourAces in saying welcome. Any forum not only needs people with diverse opinions but also only succeeds when it has them. Not everyone will agree with what I say or do and not everyone will agree with TY or Barry. If they did, it would be a very boring world. There is a great new Showtime series called Weeds. I love the song in the beginning as it talks about the houses in the burbs all made of ticky tack and all looking the same. How horrible. I love diversity and those with different opinions. Quote
AdamSmith Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Lucky has my unqualified welcome here. He is one of the three or four most consistently informative, informed, entertaining, and existentially engaged posters in this community of escort lovers and sommeliers. Lucky, post away. Quote
Members Lucky Posted August 2, 2006 Members Posted August 2, 2006 Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Despite the comments from Rico I know that I have friends here. Quote
Members KYTOP Posted August 2, 2006 Members Posted August 2, 2006 Let me add my voice to the chorus and say welcome to the community. Yes you do have friends here. Quote
Guest beefeater Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Another big welcome to Lucky. Your good insight into worldly matters will be most welcomed here. Plus a joke or two would help. Quote
Guest Barry Posted August 2, 2006 Posted August 2, 2006 Hey Lucky. Good to see ya here. Welcome from Chicago with a heat index of 115. Palm Springs without the road runners. Quote

Anyone searching Google for Hooboy will see who's putting money into being deceptive or engaging in misdirection. There's ONE sponsored (i.e. paid) link, and that ain't Hooboy's site. Omissions are deceptive too. There was a post here a day or so ago asking about specific non-reviewed escorts. Your reply was lengthy and articulate and completely omitted the fact that those escorts ARE reviewed, just not here. I suspect I've worn out my welcome now, so you likely won't hear from me again. But I do wish you the very best of luck! Quote

Thanks for noticing that. It is only one of over 400 keywords we target. Is that really what you call deception? Now, I see why I had trouble understanding most of your posts at M4M. >Omissions are deceptive too. There was a post here a day or so >ago asking about specific non-reviewed escorts. Your reply was >lengthy and articulate and completely omitted the fact that >those escorts ARE reviewed, just not here. You are too funny Deej. Thanks for the chuckle. >I suspect I've worn out my welcome now, so you likely won't >hear from me again. But I do wish you the very best of luck! I'll take bets that we do hear from you again. Let me call my bookie in Vegas and see what the odds are. Thanks for the good luck wishes. While, I am not sure of their sincerity, I do wish you and Daddy good luck. Hooboy was a friend of mine and I really wanted his site to continue. Don't blame us that it didn't. Look closer to your homebase for that one. Quote

For those who might want to know what we're speaking of his blog is at www.hoovillenews.blogspot.com but be warned it can be ugly. Hey Lucky with OZ hoping from country to country all the time and Barry doing double duty maybe you should inquire about becoming a moderator here? I know you enjoy volunteer work and moderating thought is something you'd be great at, well at least IMHO. Anyway, once again welcome and I see your friends are starting to stop by, first deej can cooper be far behind? Quote

That doesn't preclude the possibility, it only lessens it or resovles that it is likely to remain beyond my capabiity. BTW, I am cognizant of the reverse button positions and took special care to make sure I played with your rules. >>Could I be under moderation? > >Not likely, since we haven't done that in 3 years or more. And >you knew this when you wrote what you did. > I don't know anything anymore about that site, well not much. I have no idea what goes on behind the curtain and YOU KNOW I DONT. I havent posted in almost a year and not since I became associated with this site. Things can change. Curtains are opaque. I posed a question that the observed behavior begged. I'm disappointed to say that your tone reminds me of many self-appointed authorties that, in the past, told you many things about your site or your personal business they knew such and such which you denied vehemently. Now you tell me whati I know and dont know with such authority. >>Also, daddy went on record during Tri's South American >>start-up that he didn't care to censor competition and >would >>be helpful if he could. Nonsequitir sir, I say nonsequitir. How is this a response to the treatment of competitors? Making the leap anyway.... You say that advertising on Google is being deceptive? Pleeease. Then Google and much of its community -- all of its advertisers -- are engaging in misdirection and deception. We actually tout our Google ads to our escorts. It benefits them every bit as much as us. In summary, WTF... pleeeease. >Omissions are deceptive too. There was a post here a day or so >ago asking about specific non-reviewed escorts. Your reply was >lengthy and articulate and completely omitted the fact that >those escorts ARE reviewed, just not here. > I honestly didn't know that they were reviewed. I assumed they were not since the question was posed and because I also assume that almost everyone out there knows of your site and its extensive database. So if a question such as that is posed it is likely they are not reviewed -- to my mind. Your input at that point would have been beneficial to the client and welcomed here. We are here to share information for the benefit of our members. We do not subscribe to the NIH syndrome. (Not Invented Here for those not familiar.) So in the end I decided that if I cannot offer up a fish then I can teach someone how to fish. You want to keelhaul me for that? >I suspect I've worn out my welcome now, ... Not true. If you wish to raise issues, skold the admin or offer up information to clients seeking it you are always welcome. We don't have to agree on everything or anything. You know that. >so you likely won't hear from me again. Your call. You are always welcome. > But I do wish you the very best of luck! Back atcha. Quote

Members seaboy4hire Posted August 2, 2006 Members Posted August 2, 2006 People change thier minds, they grow, they may want to expiernce new things that they may have thought they wouldn't like. Have you said you wouldn't do something and then later on down the road changed your mind and given that something a whirl? If Lucky wants to post here or anywhere else it's his choice to do so regardless if he said he wouldn't or would. Hugs, Greg Quote
Members Lucky Posted August 2, 2006 Members Posted August 2, 2006 Your comments are appreciated Greg. Don't assume that anything Rico says is true just because he says it. You'll notice he didn't quote me. Quote

Members Lucky Posted April 4, 2020 Members Posted April 4, 2020 You know that you are bored when you find yourself going back to 2006 to see what Boytoy.com was like when it first started! Some things never change! And the names that we no longer see. That's a fascinating topic on its own. Quote
Members SexyAsianStud Posted April 5, 2020 Members Posted April 5, 2020 i was surprised to see this thread because i am still relatively new to this site.... (as you know the daddy's site which has now become the amusement park of choice for every senile right winger thinks that they have banned me even though i easily re-joined under another identity but that's a discussion for another time, another place) i love having disagreeing voices here - people who i do not agree with i understand have different life experiences than I have had, and that brings them to different points of view - with the exception of the Evil Sisters of the daddys site (nazi Bozo, senile Augustus, stupid BSR, and proud heterosexual BnaC) i do not think that a disagreement with me is a sign of moral short-coming. let a hundred flowers bloom here!
