Green (Chairs) Bar in Sunee is Closing

Green Bar ( known as Green Chairs Bar) in Sunee Plaza is closing shortly, probably by Nov. 1.

Lack of customers is the reason.  In its heyday, Green Bar was a great place to sit and enjoy a drink and observe the people milling about on the soi.

I saw a truck loading up some of the furniture the other night.

Many referred to Green Bar as Plastic Chairs bar.  It featured a large fish in a tank and a pool table.

Latest info is that Green Bar will close about mid-Novermeber.

The pool table was taken out last night.

Many years ago when Sunee Plaza was very popular it was called  the Corner bar my favourite venue to have a drink with friends & local boys , have a chat with the freindly waiters and to observe the people milling about on the soi .

end of era very sad.

It’s been reported on another forum that the pool table has been put back.

Boy 69 has confused the old Corner Bar, which became Double Shot with Green Bar just a few meters away.

Its being reported that Green bar will continue and not close down.

As of today, 19 December, Green Bar remains open.
