Guest Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Some critical thinking is needed when reading the trash that is in the newspapers these days. 1 If Mr Cummings is not subject to judicial proceedings and makes a statement in a press conference, how can that be perverting the course of justice ? The number of trashy or almost defunct newspapers repeating this is meaningless. 2 What's the difference between a newspaper lying and a civil servant lying ? In my eyes, both are unacceptable, except newspapers seem to get away with it. Double standards. I don't require a right wing newspaper. I deliberately read to the left and right, so that I may have some balance. However, I prefer good quality publications. In the era of clickbait, there are very few of these remaining, but the FT and DW seem to be among the best. Quote
