Gaybutton
69 is the name of Pattaya's newest gay go-go boy bar, opening less than one week ago. This is another "off-Sunee Plaza" bar, but not off by much. It's a stand-alone bar just off Sunee Plaza on Soi 17. To get there, simply go to the White Night buffet restaurant. On the other side of the street, almost directly in front of the restaurant, that's soi 17. As soon as you enter the soi, you'll spot the bar. The bar is small, but has the most comfortable seating I've yet discovered in the Sunee Plaza area. There were twelve dancers when I was there, all of whom are obviously age 18 or more, but it still doesn't hurt to check the ID of any boy you may want to "off," to be certain. The boys wear black shorts and black scarves. The boys are not quite typical of many of the Sunee Plaza bars in that every one of them are quite "butch." If you're looking for effeminate or lady-boy types, you won't find them at 69. Also, while the music is loud, the volume is not overly loud. For me, the volume slightly pushes the envelope of being able to hold a normal conversation. The mama-san, Lek, is not pushy. He appears to be in his late thirties and is quite accommodating and helpful. His English is very good. Drinks at 69 are 100 baht, less expensive than most Pattaya bars. 69 is easy to find, but also easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Give 69 a try. It's a little different from most of the Sunee Plaza bars and I think you're going to enjoy it.
butterfly
When you get bored watching the dancers, which should take a minute or two in this bar, pay a visit to the toilet. Absolutely appalling. How anyone has the cheek to open a business in this condition is beyond me.
Gaybutton
When you get bored watching the dancers, which should take a minute or two I see you had a wonderful time in this bar. Despite that, I suggest that people give it a try and judge for themselves. In any bar, if you have complaints about the toilet, or anything else, I think the best thing to do is bring it up to the owner or the mama-san. If nothing has been done by my next visit, then that would be the last time I would patronize such a place unless, of course, the boys are so irresistible that I would find the conditions to be the lesser of the evils and a factor I could disregard. So far, I've never been in a bar at which the boys are fantastic enough for me to ignore an unsanitary toilet if I feel the need (especially if that need happens to be number 2). I agree with Butterfly and he brings up a good point that really applies to any venue. I did not use the toilet facilities when I was in 69, so I never saw the conditions. However, if a bar, or any other venue, can't maintain a decent toilet for the customers, then I'd like to know the reason why. I don't see much excuse for it. Also, the boys use those same toilets. If the toilet facilities are atrocious, then at least for me, I wouldn't want to make physical contact with any of them. That's also when I start wondering about the cleanliness of the glass in which drinks are served and the cleanliness of the hands of the bartender who makes the drinks and the waiters who serve them. Another factor is that a great many people in Thailand, including me, normally wear sandals rather than shoes. I don't particularly like to have to be afraid of what I may have stepped in and splashed all over my feet. In many bars, the toilet facilities are immaculate. I can't understand why some bars don't seem to care if the toilet facilities are abominable. If a toilet is in need of maintenance or repair, it's not like it's a major expense hiring a plumber in Thailand. As a matter of fact, it's quite inexpensive. It probably wouldn't cost more than two to four thousand baht to fix it up. After all, the majority of customers are "farang" and the bar owners ought to know by now that "farang" demand clean facilities. It would be difficult to convince me that a bar owner can't afford to provide reasonably decent toilet facilities.

Gaybutton
Now you know why you should ALWAYS wear Socks with your Sandals! (shhh, here comes Smiles...) I think you may be mistaken about that. As far as I know, it is actually someone else, not Smiles, who seems to have the objection to wearing socks with sandals, but only if they're white socks. I always found that amusing since the party in question has often been seen wearing socks with sandals himself, but his are black. I guess that makes it ok, especially considering that whether one wears socks with sandals at all is a major issue of our times.

Guest thrillbill8
And this is considered "ON TOPIC"!!! Guest stef
...just make sure you wear a sock on your "manhood" when "on call"--who cares about your feet. I wear boots. I Have checked out 69 yesterday night. The place by itself is good. The sofa are comfortable , the boys are cute and the manager is very nice. Not really my type of scene as the boys wears that leather looking type of short , with strange straps around their neck, which make me thing of S&M stuff. Also the sofar are cover of a leopard looking tissue wich doesn't help the taste. I did not stay there very long as I had company but I would go back there with friends. Now about the bathrooms : Watch out when you enter the bathroom, I alsmot did hit my head on the top part of the door as it is really low. Also it is not a door, but just laying straps that kind of hide the only bathroom on site. So if you want to take a leak, then that's fine, but if you have heavier things to do, then you might want to consider going back home cause I would not feel that comfortable in there seating on the toilets when anyone can just walk in... Could not see how clean it was as it was really dark, but the smell wasn't bad at all. It seems clean to me. My feet were still wet when I walked out Could not wash my hands at the water from the sink did not work and I wasn't ready to use the Water that they use to dump in the toilet . It has just opened and I am sure they will improve all this. I wish they good luck and great success.

llz
Nice bunch of guys ... From a thread on a thai messageboard, a visitor said there is (was ?) a lot of groping, fondling and chak wao going on in this bar, just like in the other one ; can you confirm this ? (and could we assume that, if the bar was raided, it could be because of the very detailed report which was given on the thai webboard ?) From your descriptions, the bar is located in the small soi facing the La Cage bar, isn't it ? This soi was not long ago known as an open air market for buying Ya baa, and some advised not to go there at night. I just hope things have improved since then ??? You guess that I am now very far from Sunee Plaza and can only rely on your nice reports for keeping updated ... Link to the thread (only if you read thai) : http://www.thaimalemassage.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=8750 That's correct, it is Soi Market, that small soi that is just facing " La Cage " & " White Night Buffet ". I do remember once last year , someone telling me about this street being popular for such sales. But it did seems quiet around 9 pm. I don't hang out outside after midnight I remember the owner asking me to come back around 11 pm as they had a special show. I did not ask what kind of show ... NB : I forgot to mention that yesterday night ( few days after my first visit there ), around 7.30 pm, when I visited the owner, someone was fixing up the toilet and re-doing the floor and so on. It seems they are just taking time to do it. It should be looking like new in few weeks

Gaybutton
I was badly surprised about this well-meaned report about the new 69!!! this are the true facts As opposed to the false facts? I can only speak for what I saw when I was there. The night I was there, none of what you say on your post was the case. I don't dispute what you say, but that was not my experience at all. In fact they all seemed to be quiet and acting like normal Go Go boys. . May be I was too early to see the drugs behaviours ? How can you tell ? Now about the age, I can't say if they were the age you say they were, as I did not off anyone , neither did I ask their age. I can't either differ a fake to a true ID. How could I in such a dark place ? Thats why the security of my hotel comes handy if I ever off a boy that seems a little too twink to my taste. I was there to check out the new place and take picture to share with others. I wasn't there to take photo of illegal boys dressed in black bikini. That's for damn sure. If I would have just a little doubt, I would have not taken any photos at all.. I gues we have had a total different experience... Sorry you have had such experience.
