Website with news of gay businesses

  Once in a while I check a website called bangkokeyes.com to see the latest nightlife news.   The August 2019 edition has a few snippets about Chill Out Boy Bar in Patpong 1 being closed with a photo. 

  It also mentions Bangkok Massage moving from Soi Twilight to Patpong 2 (with photo), and this - "The newly relocated (from Soi Twilight 2 months ago) Hotmale Bar Beer is in the process of renaming themselves the Midnite.   Located next to Pinocchios.   We'll attempt to get some comprehensive pics next issue.... "

 

   If you've never visited bangkokeyes, take a look.  It's predominantly aimed at the straight nightlife venues, but they don't discriminate.  Their archives are extensive, and there are many old photos taken on Soi Twilight showing the lighted signs of the bars that were there.

 

  If you scroll to the bottom of the page, the archived page from 01 JUN 2019 has a whole article dedicated to Gay Patpong and Soi Twilight.  I am copying a couple photos from their website here.  I hope I'm not violating any rules in doing so.  These photos shown here are the property of Bangkok Eyes, not my own.  This last photo is a map of Patpong showing the gay businesses.  The lavender colored ones are listed as gay in their website as of April 2019.  I think by posting this here, it will boost the readership for the Bangkok Eyes website.

Very helpful, but note that maybe they put ladyboy bars in the purple “gay” category.  Not that I particularly want to get into that issue with a 10 foot mascara brush, but I think — but not sure — that Kings Garden and Kings Corner are ladyboy, as are some of the other miscellaneous patpong 2 spots.

Kings Corner 1 is a mixed go go bar. Ladyboys and girls working together.

There are also ladyboys working in Kings Garden.

Thanks for the website suggestion. It seems that patpong are also experiencing a demise, with many bars closes. The upside is those closed bars are now occuppied by soi twilight bars. Also noted the new location of bangkok massage, occupying new screw boy disco which ive never been to. It seems the straight sex tourist are concerned over the take over of gay bars at patpong lol.

not surprising, we would  be concerned to  about diluting soi character  if they start invading soi Twilight with girl bars. But as Pattayaland sois show both persuasions  can  co-exist easily.

What is the new screw boy bar, I don’t recall seeing anything about this before in other posts?

New Screwboy bar was a karaoke after hours place. It may sstillbe or maybe has morphed into something else.   It wasn't open when I visited in May.  I'll investigate next week.  The original Screwboys calls itself "new".  It's all designed to be lost in translation.
