Trip Report June 2019 (I’m a sucker for smiles)

Was only supposed to go back to Bangkok in December but managed to get a few days of leave in June. Last minute booking so could not get a room at my favourite hotel, The Raya Surawong. Fully booked! The Japanese must be in Bangkok for a golf tournament or conference. I noticed many Japanese arriving at airport. I booked Heritage Silom instead and I think it’s a good decision because it’s nearer to the bars in Patpong. No need to cross Surawong Road.

Back in March, I was feeling sad over the final days of Soi Twilight. My trip report from that trip below:

 

Here in Bangkok for two days already and am glad to see Twilight reborn at Patpong. My regular boy, Y, has gone back to Vietnam permanently so I would be alone this trip. On my first night, I arranged to meet Forum member anddy at Hot Male. Hot Male is on second floor beside Freshboys Patpong. They have their own bar outside so since I was early, I had a drink and observed what was happening with Dreamboys and Dreamboys Paradiso directly below. Dreamboys had just reopened last weekend and there was a steady stream of Chinese customers going in. 

A Hot Male waiter struck up a conversation with me, hoping to get an off. But no, I said, let me see go go boy first. Anddy arrived. I paid bill for my drink and tipped Hot Male waiter. Anddy and I then went inside Hot Male. Entry fee of 350 baht at entrance for one drink. The bar inside was average sized. L shaped seating facing a stage but with a column awkwardly blocking the middle of the L. About 20 boys on stage. Only about 10 to 12 customers including us. It was about 10:15pm Anddy and I had a good time chatting and looking at the boys while waiting for show to start. Mamasans were friendly but not pushy. They knew when to leave us alone. Many of the boys were enthusiastic and smiling at the customers. At least 5 piqued my interest. I am a sucker for smiles! And it’s the same for Anddy! He likes the slightly muscular boys with athletic or swimmer body. My preference is for twinkier boys. At about 10:45pm, the show began. Entertaining show with ZERO ladyboy singing! The boys were pretty explicit and showed all. There was even an intense fuckshow involving metal rings hung from the ceiling.

Halfway through the show, a group of 10 to 12 Japanese customers came in. They seemed drunk but oh what fun they brought to the bar. It was more fun watching them! Two of the Japanese guys got stripped by the others and they sat at the front row in the nude. During the big cock show, they were egged on by the others to go on stage. Stocky bodies but such cute faces! The audience plus the staff of the bar clapped for them enthusiastically. Anddy playfully got up and gave two 20 baht notes to the two Japanese guys. The applause got even louder. The two Japanese guys went back to their seats and the next act in the show proceeded. The younger of the two Japanese guys frequently got involved and went up on stage. In fact, during the fuckshow, he went up and bent over to let a gogo boy fuck him for a short while!

After the show ended, the gogo boys went up on stage to showcase themselves. Anddy invited a boy with a really cute smile over and they chatted. I was very undecided about who to pick. The Japanese group then got up, paid for their drinks and left. But alas, one of the Japanese guys offed No. 9 whom I had been eyeing before the show! Anddy decided to off his boy. I decided to take it slow this trip. Ok not to have any off on first night. In any case, I had a very enjoyable evening with Anddy watching a really wild but unforgettable show. First time on my part seeing such active customer participation!

Day 2 - went shopping at Siam Paragon and MBK. I had the intention of going to Ganymede for massage in afternoon. I sent them a Line message. “Ken work today?” The reply broke my heart. “Sorry Ken go back Vietnam”. I decided to visit Prince instead. The last time I went was in 2016. It was my only time because I had picked a really muscular guy and I got nearly crushed by him! This time, I told the staff that I only wanted guys below 1.7 metres tall. He went inside the “fish tank”. Three quarters of the 30 plus boys left and went back to their gym workouts. 8 boys left for me to choose. I picked the one with the cutest smile (and he had a beautiful smooth body of course). Prices at Prince has risen. No more massages below 1000 baht. Prices start at 1200 baht and minimum tip for boy is 1500 baht. I took the cream scrub at a deluxe room. 1800 baht but well worth it. The deluxe rooms are by the side of the carpark. 4 cabins with en suite bathrooms. They weren’t there 3 years ago. Low king sized bed in room and clean facilities. Boy whom I picked came from Chiang Mai. Massage skills unfortunately were so-so but he was skilled with body to body massage so I had fun and enjoyed him. Gave him above minimum tip and went back to hotel to rest.

Night came and off I went to Foodland Patpong for dinner before going to Lucky Boys. Invited Anddy and he said he would arrive after 10pm. I entered Lucky Boys at 9.30pm and was led to a front row seat. 20 boys in their custom made Lucky Boy black briefs on stage. I recognised many of the boys and staff from Classic and X-Boys at Twilight. Waiters and mamasans in yellow polo shirts. Mama (or Lucy as some of you know her as) was dressed up as usual.

The waiter came for my drinks order. I asked or the drinks menu, pointed at Jack Daniel and ask how much? The waiter seemed puzzled because the prices were on the menu. “Bottle,” I explained myself. The waiter then turned the menu over and I saw the bottles pricing. 4000 baht with mixers. I did a bit of mental calculation and went ahead to order it. I was expecting to stay the whole night and with Anddy joining me, I figured it would be cheaper to get a bottle than get individual drinks for us and the boys.

A twinkish mamasan came over and spoke to me in Mandarin. I replied, “I’m from Singapore. I speak English.” But seeing how he’s actively trying to brush up his Mandarin (to obviously cater to Chinese customers) and due to the fact that I was impressed that he had learnt Mandarin on his own without attending any classes,  I spoke to him in both languages throughout the night. Very cute boy with (you guess it!) a sweet smile. His name is L and he used to be a dancer at Classic then switched to be a waiter and has now worked his way up to be a mamasan. L has a very fun-loving personality. I asked him whether he can be offed. Unfortunately, he said no. I make a sad face. Maybe if we get to know each other better, who knows what might happen in the future?

I get reacquainted with Boy, a Vietnamese mamasan from X-Boys. He doesn’t wear yellow polo T-shirt like the waiter and mamasans because he’s the cashier. I ask him about the boys. He tells me that his roommate and fellow waiter at X-Boys, Z, whom I saw in March has gone back to Vietnam. That’s 3 Viet boys (Y, the gogo boy, Ken, the masseur and Z, the waiter) whom I know who have given up life in Bangkok. Perhaps Vietnam has progressed economically recently and there are more jobs available back home. Boy then asks me, “But P is still here. You want see him?” I was flabbergasted. “Isn’t P working at Jupiter?” As it turned out, P followed the other X-Boys boys to a Lucky Boys. “Yeah, sure.”

It was 10:15pm and Anddy arrived. He was surprised that I ordered a bottle. I tell him that it makes sense economically and anyway I was on holiday so I felt generous. Anddy and I were mesmerised by the wide variety of boys on stage. Definitely more boys compared to Hot Male. And yes, they smile!

Lucky Boys, however isn’t full. Probably because Dreamboys has just opened and taken away many of their customers. I counted about 20 customers spread out all around the cavernous bar. The show didn’t start at 10:30pm as promised. They waited for more customers to arrive before starting the show. There was an interesting couple seated next to Anddy and I. It was a farang and an Asian boy. They were there to select a boy for a threesome. There was a lone Korean-looking female customer in early 30s seated by herself. She seemed like one of those K-pop fanatics but her object of worship were the gogo boys on stage. There was a Thai couple in their 50s. I swear I have seen them before - perhaps at Moonlight?

Just before the show starts, P arrrives. He seemed really glad to see me again. It was his off day today but he rushed over after Boy messaged him about his favourite customer from Singapore. He explains that he decided to join Lucky Boys instead of Jupiter after X-Boys closed. He says that it was a wise choice. “Many customers.” P tells me that he got 4 offs in a typical week during the first month of Lucky Boys. But business has slowed after Dreamboys opened.

The show finally begins. The routine is classic Classic Boys - 4 boys dancing around a singing ladyboy. But these boys dance better than those at Jupiter and Moonlight. And those smiles! But things went downhill after that. It was just a series of lip syncing by ladyboys - without the dancing boys! They only appear in two performances - the opening act and the closing act which is Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance. There were two erotic dance numbers. Cocks visible but not as hardcore as Hot Male. “No shower show,” P laments. P used to do shower show at X-Boys. “Nevermind, you can do shower show for me in hotel room.”

Anddy spots a Cambodian boy he has offed before and invites him to sit. Big broad cute smile! I call the waiter to prepare a drink for Cambodian boy. Right decision to order the bottle. Altogether there were 5 glasses of Jack Daniel drinks constantly refilled throughout the show. By the time the show ended, there was only a little bit left in the bottle. Did we really drink that much? Hmm.

One more piece of nugget to share. The cubicles at the Lucky Boys toilets are separated by partitions but the partitions are made of plastic and see through! I had a free peek at a gogo bar peeing. I go back to our seats and insisted that Anddy visit the toilet. He comes back and says that a gogoboy was peeing openly next to him and letting him see. What an ingenious choice of design by Lucky Boys owner! Bless you for giving us an avenue to indulge our voyeuristic and cruising fantasies!

I had always wondered whether Lucky Boys was an equal merger between X-Boys and Classic Boys. Most of the show numbers were from Classic Boys. Ditto for the mamasans. More mamasans from Classic Boys compared to X-Boys. The final confirmation came in the receipt I got back after using my credit card to pay for my bottle of Jack Daniels. Printed on the receipt - “New Classic Boys Club”

Anddy decided not to off his boy today but gave him a tip. I paid for P’s off and tipped Boy and L. I also tipped a ladyboy who exposed her breasts during her song. Damn, I have never seen breasts so symmetrical. My final tip went to a chubby but cute gogo boy who danced very well. I said goodbye to Anddy as we parted outside. It was a real pleasure being with Anddy and checking out all the boys together.

In the hotel room, P and I had sex first then spent the next hour listening to Thai music while drinking whisky and smoking cigarettes that I brought from Singapore. At about 2 plus, P left. I could feel the effects of the whisky starting to kick in. I slept and only woke up at 11am the next day.

Some questions about the 4000B bottle of JD... any responses can wait until after you return!

• Were unlimited mixers & ice included or was it a set amount e.g. 8 cokes?
• Were the boys allowed to drink for free or were you charged for drinks?
  • (Some bars allow staff (waiters, mamasans etc) to drink for free but insist that you must buy at least 1 boy drink for every gogo boy that comes to your table. If they have a subsequent drink then that can be from the bottle without additional charge)
• Also did you spot the price of  Johnnie Walker Red Label?

I read your report again and have question, you mentioned Heritage Silom hotel but do you mean Siam Heritage ,  one on Patpong  side of  Suriwong close to Oasis restaurant?

This is what I sense from your narrative, correct me if I'm wrong. 

If that is a case it would be good news as in the  past Siam Heritage was known as unfriendly to joiners so obviously they smartened up.

* unlimited mixers if I remember correctly. The waiters just kept filling up our glasses and I wasn’t charged more than the 4000 baht

* boys were free to drink. No need to buy boy drink

Yes, it is Siam Heritage. There is a notice on the table in the hotel room that stated that joiners must register at reception and pay 900 baht but so far, I was never stopped from taking guests back - not just this trip but another trip last year. Go ahead and book this hotel for your next trip, vinapu. It’s close to the action!

Day 3 - after waking up, went for lunch and did some shopping. Walked from BTS back to hotel at about 3pm. Encountered massage boys sitting outside Soi 4. A guy in yellow t-shirt with a nice smile caught my attention. "Massage?" Yes, why not! He led me into soi 4 towards Adam Massage. Very nice interior. Calm soothing music. We went up the stairs to 4th storey. Clean room with standard massage bed. Hole at top of bed for head. Shower rooms outside. Massage guy was very skilled. Strong strokes and some light teasing touching. He was fully dressed throughout but he did ask midway, "You want body to body massage?" I declined as I was saving myself for the night. He was disappointed but continued massaging me professionally. Towards the end, he tried again. "Happy ending? 500 baht only." I said normally i would say yes but today no. After massage, i went to shower to wash away the oil. Went down to pay the lady at counter. 700 baht for one and half hour of massage. Massage guy was standing at door to welcome me out. I gave him 500 baht tip. He smiled happily. 3 other massage guys outside congratulated him. Yes, I am a sucker for smiles!

Yes I also wondered by Joiners at Siam Heritage. I stayed there many years ago and was stopped one night by the Desk Clerk. But I had paid for 2 persons so my guy only had to register. Good that he had his ID!!! Do they still have the small pool at the top???

I wanted to stay in the past at the Siam Heritage it's a lovely hotel in an excellent location but because of their unfriendly attitude regarding joiners

I passed Oasis a few days ago and saw their lights were off.  My heart sank thinking “Oh no! Vinapu’s favourite restaurant is gone” 

Looking closer, there was a notice on the door, “Closed due to holiday and improvement.”

I have stayed at Siam Heritage once a VERY long time ago (might be 10 years), also issues with joiners. Obviously, they still have the same policy of requiring to formally register guests AND pay 900 Baht given the sign at reception jason1975 mentions.

But apparently jason1975 had no issues with joiners. Either they relaxed the enforcement of the rules, or jason was just lucky. Here is a theory (jus t a theory, of course) which might explain such luck: jason1975 is Asian, so coming with a boy maybe night guards mistake them for a regular Asian gay couple staying at the hotel. Whereas in a (older) farang plus boy case it would be much more obvious what's going on and they'd be stopped. 

No idea if there is any truth to this, but I'd advise caution booking this hotel. There have been so many reports of joiner issues (much more recent and therefore more relevant than my old experience) that I wouldn't really trust my luck there, especially as a farang.

Vinapu, you mention here Oasis restaurant. You had mentioned it before in another thread as one of your go to restaurants for Thai food.  I had written this tip for a restaurant down. And planned to go there during my June 2019 visit. 

I was disappointed to see that it is currently closed. For holidays and renovations says a sign. So couldn't enjoy your tip of restaurant yet.

After my massage at Adam Massage, I wandered around a bit. I ended up at a store and came upon the stationery section. I saw staplers and a thought came to my mind. I picked up a stapler and went to pay for it.

Back in the hotel room, I found ten hundred baht notes and stapled them into a garland!

it was such a spur of the moment kind of act. At the back of mind, I have had fantasies about giving a thousand baht garland on a gogo boy after reading about such instances at Jupiter. I did not know what came over me but I just went to make my own garland. I think it’s a kind of bucket list thing - things to experience in lifetime.

night came and I headed back to Lucky Boys. This time, I deliberately sat right at the top seats behind the DJ control section. I must say it’s quite a distance and I had to squint to see the number tags on the boys. I ordered a Heineken. Some of the mamasans and waiters recognised me from the previous night. “You want to order bottle?” No bottle for me tonight sorry. Their next question - “your farang Friend no come tonight?” referring to forum member Anddy.

same as previous night, bar had customers but not full. From the seats at the top, I could see what was going on at the bar. Three of the armchairs were filled with big spenders who ordered bottle service. Boys invited to sit with them to drink and play games. I saw one table where they played dice and presumably the loser had to drink up. There were mamasans and waiters who sat in as well, entertaining the big spenders.

show started and surprise surprise, the numbers were all different! Yes there were mostly ladyboy acts but the songs were different. Ditto for the other performances. I appreciate the variety available and effort put in (some of the dancers wore elaborate costumes and it would have cost money to have so many different acts).

the moment finally arrived - the big cock show. I called mamasan L over then opened my bag and passed him the baht garland. He went down to the stage and put it on P, my Thai gogoboy. P was stunned but his smile and reaction was priceless. The other boys and audience clapped.

after the show ended, the gogo boys went on stage. I asked L to call over a Cambodian boy. No. 20. “Longtime ok?” I asked him. Yes and I paid up. An unpleasant incident happened next.

 

 

Cambodian boy, H speaks very good English. I suggested we eat first before the night. We ended up at Foodland Patpong. He orders the steak set. Waitress brings over salad and toasted bread loaf. H was puzzled and said he didn’t order those. “Comes with set” waitress tells him. Quite an amusing scene. H has never eaten salad before. I take a few bites then he tries them and before long, he finishes the whole bowl of salad. “Salad very good!” he says in his perfectly pronounced English. Thais would have said “Very goose!”

we get back to the hotel and agreed on the arrangement. Sex then sleep until 8am for second round. H keeps his word. Thoroughly worth the 3000 baht long time fee. Up till now, I cannot forget the image of his perfectly formed buttocks. No six pec abs like some of the other boys but overall a nice body and a cute smile!

Yes, no trip to Thailand is complete for me without breakfast at Foodland Patpong 2, pizza at Madrid Tavern,  Patpong 1,  chicken with cashews at Oasis and schnitzel at Alt Heidelberg , Beach Rd Pattaya.

But as one can see I'm not exactly gourmet cuisine lover so follow my culinary advices at your own peril, lol.

Still hope after renovations Oasis will reopen and at one point I will be able to enjoy my favorite meal there
