BKK Trip report April 2019 - Set my mind free

This is my 5th trip to Thailand and my first trip with my husband and child. All my previous trips were solo. I will try to focus on the more interesting gay parts of my trip, a fact that will probably make this trip report shorter than previous ones, considering the specific nature of this trip. 

A brief intro, 35 yo Israeli married + 1. 
Last trip was 16 months ago; I came for White Party 2018. At that time I knew it would take me some time to come again alone to Thailand and I set my mind on returning for Songkran 2019. As time passed by, I started realizing that I will not be able to pull those dates off so I set my mind on the week after which was also Jewish Passover. But, my partner was less enthusiastic on letting me travel solo during the holiday since he had tons of work and was not able to take full care of our daughter this time. I understood him and the situation but I still missed my BKK. So instead I decided to try and make it a family trip. I realized that traveling with our daughter while my husband had tons of work that he will have to do during our vacation is not my best option. So I convinced his parents and siblings to join us. It was quite easy, who doesn't want to have his vacation in Thailand? So this was a big family trip that I planned and arranged to all of us. I also knew that the maximum time that we should all spend together is a week. More than that will be too much family time for all the people involved J So for this big trip, I scheduled a weekend in BKK for all of us, then mid-week we spent at a resort in Krabi and then we split so my husband, daughter and I had another weekend in BKK without the rest. It took me lots of planning, booking, coordinating for the whole group. But it was worth it.

We flew the weekend after Songkran. This year, a smaller Israeli airline, Arkia opened the 2nd direct TLV-BKK route. It was a shitty flight with a 25yo plane. But my daughter and I slept most of it so I didn't care much. Having a 2yo child in BKK has its advantages. We didn't need to queue almost anywhere. Once Thai airport staff saw we were with a stroller we were guided to go to fast track which was nice. Since this trip I was not alone, I tried to leave little room for mistakes so I asked Lebua to send us a van with a proper seat for my daughter. 2500 THB. Arrived at the Tower Club @ Lebua state at 6 PM Friday evening. Hotel is nice but I think for its cost, 235 USD a night, there are many better options than that one. But, my sister in-law really wanted to stay in the hotel of the film "The Hangover 2" so I let her have it her way. It's a very nice hotel with large rooms and high balconies observing BKK and free lounge. Excellent service and professional staff.

We had dinner at Siam Discovery's Outback. Again, not my first choice, but I usually comprise about things I don't care that much. After that we put our daughter to sleep and the pre-booked hotel nanny arrived (300THB per hour). Now It's dads time for our night out in BKK. It's my husband's first night in BKK and I was keen on showing him some of BKK’s jewels.

Arrived at Jupiter just in time for the show. We both enjoyed the eye candy show and it was a full house. Offing was not an option considering the fact that our daughter was with us in our suite. Some of the stars there are really impressive and for sure would be an good offing option for us, although it seems to me they are better at being looked at than actually having fun with, but I maybe wrong here.

From there off to Moonlight. It was my first time there, and after reading some threads about it, I has higher expectations. House was almost empty. Some of the guys were hot but it was by far less entertaining then Jupiter. It could have been that it was the 2nd show of that night and maybe it's always like that in later hours. But even with taking into consideration the late hour of the second show, something about their show was just not sexy enough. Maybe coming in time for first show is a better option, but we did not have time to check that out.

After that, we went to DJ station. A solid stable BKK institution. House was full and we enjoyed the crowd. I never liked too much the music there… too much pop for my ear. My husband liked it more than me. Anyways, we both enjoyed our time there since the combo of guys, music and alcohol can’t be beaten J We were not actually looking for sex since we were both very tired and also things were a little logistically complicated with having a stranger as a nanny in our room so we preferred calling it a night.

The morning after my husband had to work, so I took all the rest to Siam Paragon – they did shopping and I took my daughter to Sea World. Sea World is just one of many nice things that I would have never think on even easting my time in BKK if I was without my daughter. Having said that, it is the most impressive aquarium I have seen compared to those in the States and Europe. I took her back just in time for her nap, I had a vision in my mind that while she is napping and my husband is working in our room, it is my time to shine.

Arrived at the Prince at about 3PM. BKK was very rough on traffic our entire stay so whenever I went alone I took a motor taxi. I entered and chose the most muscular ripped guy I saw and we went together to the room. After showering I waited about 3 minutes. Then, the mamasan guy knocked on the room and told me that I had to choose another guy since he couldn’t work now. I found it weird, but decided that I don’t care that much and went outside to choose another guy. On my way out back to choosing, I saw the guy that I choose coming back to my room as if everything is as usual, then the manager stopped him and they argued loudly in Thai. This thing seemed very unprofessional but again – I didn’t care that much. The manager said he is sorry and that the guy I chose is bad service etc… I told him OK and went to choose me another guy. The mamasan guy in Prince is generally unhelpful by saying all the guys are great there and excellent service so I again choose by intuition. I choose another muscle guy. Massage is as I usually get in prince, very sexual, lots of oil involved, muscles flexing and genitals being rubbed and touched until we both climax. Tipped the guy 1500 THB, and left very happily to my room and even had a one hour nap before our daughter wakes up and we continue our evening together with daddy being much happier after his massage haha.

Great and somewhat different report we usually read here with family in the background but I guess it was fun to navigate those complex logistics.

Prince has great looking guys  but with one exception I never had anything than just OK experience there so I'm not surprised with scene you described although I'd still take that original guy out of curiosity what the hell is that about , not to mention to piss that mamasan off. 

One of our readers had similar experience in the old Hero with mamasan working hard to discourage him from taking chosen guy so from time to time such things happen it looks.

Thanks for the report! Navigating gay stuff while travelling with kids is tough indeed. One suggestion if u still want to venture more without worrying about your daughter sharing your room is to use the short time room available in hotels nearby the bars. Boys usually know which one offer that, and price is usually affordable (last report i read mentioned 500 baht). My first two trips to bangkok was with friends with part of it solo, but i dont dare do anything else when with my friends except the innocence massage hehe. I did however had a regular come to my hotel room one night though and i pray hard my friend didnt disturb me haha.

For sure, I just landed home yesterday and free time is not in my favor so it will be in rather small chunks and will take probably about a week to complete. I prefer finishing it as soon as possible while my memory is still not far away from the experience.

Thanks. I think that in this trip sex and gay fun stuff were in the background and family was in the foreground but for this report I tried to emphasize the parts that will be more of interest.

I think that the general answer to this question is no. Prince is usually not busy and once you get in you can choose right away your guy. On Dec 31st 2017 it was as full as I ever saw and people had to wait and all the masseurs were always occupied but that was a special occasion. In normal days and times you don't need to wait. I would suggest a perfect hour of arriving at prince at about 3PM when all the masseurs had arrived but not a lot of people come yet.

So after my massage and nap, I was happy and patient on carrying on that evening. Our daughter woke up and we took her by foot to see a little more of the city. We hopped on a ferry so she can see the river and enjoy the ride. When we went out after one station, we entered ICONSIAM which is a new beautiful and luxurious new mall on the wrong side of the river. After exploring that mall we entered a taxi back to Lebua. My first explicit homophobic encounter in BKK was at that taxi when the driver realized that we were a family end just kept saying stuff like “2 dads no good” etc. My husband got upset, but I told him that we are not going to change or educate no one in one taxi drive so we just let him take us back to our hotel and finished that unfortunate encounter. I would have felt quite differently if my daughter understood English but since she didn’t, I didn’t care much about a BKK taxi deriver’s opinion regarding my beloved family.

This evening was the evening we all decided to have a fancy Passover dinner. Passover Seder Eve was actually on the evening of our arrival but we decided to take it easy yesterday and have a fancy dinner celebrating the holiday on this evening, a day later. Babysitter arrived at our room since taking a 2 yo child to a fancy restaurant is a sure way to not enjoy our dinner. We spent with her about half an hour to see that she communicated well with our child and then left the room. I ordered us a table at the hotel’s most famous restaurant Sirocco. It is at the top of the hotel. It is a fancy and impressive restaurant. I think that the picture of that roof top restaurant is one of BKK’s recognizable pictures. We had a very nice dinner there. Food was good, service as well and the view and atmosphere were almost magical with a live band playing jazz music. Still, same as everything in that hotel – if you take the money spent there, I think there are better restaurants and experiences in BKK than this one. But I have no reason to complain since that meal's 22K BHT bill (for 6 ppl) was paid fully by my father in-law. From there we went all to King Power Mahanakhon’s new rooftop glass floor. A scary and funny experience walking on transparent floor at 75 floor high. After that they all went back to the hotel to sleep and we took a taxi to SOI 4.

Entered Banana Boys for their midnight show. Show was entertaining and more explicit than shows we saw yesterday. Still, not sexy in my opinion. Maybe it is I that has changed and not the shows but if I compare these shows to the shows I’ve seen in Hustlaball Köln half a year ago – those were sexy shows which actually made me horny. The shows that I’ve seen in BKK this trip did not make me horny but were  more of light entertainment. Also, none of the guys in that bar were our type. Still, we enjoyed this light entertainment and drink.

From there, as I try to do every Saturday evening spent in BKK, we went to G Bangkok (formally known as G.O.D). This is my favorite club in BKK: real loud house music, smoking allowed in side, sexy shirtless Asian man in a packed tiny space. You can’t go wrong there. Saturday eve was no different. There was one guy that specifically caught my eye and will later on this trip will catch more than that. If we were on a hunt I’m sure we would catch one or more new Asian friends to come with us back in the room but we weren’t so we just enjoyed the club, flirting, drinking and at about 3AM we went back to our room, paid the sitter and went to sleep.

I kept my daughter all this trip still in Israel time so she woke up at 10AM which was great considering our late return the day before. My partner still had to work so I took her that late morning to my favorite BKK mall: CentralWorld. There we enjoyed some kids stuff and retuned just in time for her nap and for me pulling off yesterdays drill all over again.

Arrived at Arena by motor taxi at about 4PM. About 25 men there all staring at me trying to catch my attention but none of them did. I was ready to leave back to Prince but then a familiar face and a very sexy body joined the group. Panu. I already knew I would have fun with that guy since we already had some fun 3 years ago. Carrying on where I stopped. 

I returned to our room as happy and satisfied as I returned the day before. My husband was curious regarding my experiences and he mentioned that in our second weekend in BKK he would like to try it out too. As I told him before, I will happily show him all the goods BKK has to offer. That evening grandma and grandpa offered to babysit so we have the night out with no foreign babysitter in our room. I pre-booked for my husband, his siblings and I another fancy dinner @ L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon which is located very near to the Kings Power Mahanakhon’s tower. This time, in my opinion, the money was worth it’s value (about 16K THB 4 ppl). A beautiful restaurant with fine French food made to its best. After that we all went to gay Sundays night @ Maggie Choo’s (300 THB + 1 drink). In my experience BKK’s finest gay crowd can be found at this venue. A perfect mixture of local high class Thais, Expats and some tourists. Generally speaking I don’t like drag shows, but at Maggie Choo’s I do. The shows are professional, funny and entertaining. His siblings call it a night after half an hour saying it’s too crowded for them (yep, that is the reason I like it), leaving us dancing flirting and drinking until 1 AM when we return to our room.

Next morning we get ready for our Krabi flight. I will now dedicate one paragraph to describe the next four and a half days of our trip. No gay fun staff went on there except sex between my husband and I. We stayed in Krabi at the Dusit Thani (170 USD per night). Resort is very nice and relaxing. I had an almost regular daily routine which combined of gym, beach, pool, genuine massage, drinks, hotel restaurants and sleep. At our last night, my husband had the luck of breaking his laptop which means he cannot work anymore and can only have fun in BKK. I didn’t feel sorry for him when that happened. When it was Friday again, we said good bye to all the others and flew back to BKK while his siblings continued on to Koh Phi Phi and his parents to Singapore. I Wanted a pre noon flight to BKK so that when we arrive to BKK, our daughter goes straight to her nap and her dads to go and have a massage.

Now that it was just the 3 of us, I knew that I wanted intense babysitting help. I also knew I wanted 2 bedroom suite with locks for our room. I made cancel-able reservations at about 12 different hotels and started investigating the suite structure and the hotel’s ability to provide a proper live-in nanny. Most of the good hotels in BKK mentioned they used the same agency for nannies so I contacted directly that agency (Thaikidshome.com) and booked us a live-in nanny to help us during our weekend of fun in BKK. Also consulted the agency regarding accommodation and from my already booked options they were highly supportive of The Ascott 2 Bedroom Suite (170 USD a night). So we arrived at The Ascott at Friday, checked in, met our lovely nanny for this weekend, put our daughter to sleep and arrived at 3PM to The prince for my husband’s first massage in BKK.

I took him to the Prince since as a first experience I believe that that place is less overwhelming than others and cleaner which will be important for him. We sat down, I explained him the rules of the game and let him choose. As he always does, he asked me who would I have chosen. I started looking through the glass. I see this sculpted young guy that looked familiar. I wasn't sure where from but I was sure I wanna enter a room with that guy. All I just hoped is that my husband does not fancy him. I told my husband I am not going to choose for him so he just needs to look at the guys and choose someone he fancies. Luckily, he did not choose my guy, he chose someone else. Off they went. Now it's my turn to choose. I ask the unhelpful mamasan about that guy and he said to me that he is gay can be top or bottom and is a good masseur. I continue to look at him since he seemed familiar. It took several more seconds for me to realize that this guy is the guy I put my eye on at the club a week ago. I tried locating that guy on the apps, unsuccessful and here he is now standing in front of me, shirtless as he was in the club showing off his perfect ripped body. Given that bangkok, especially silom area, isnt really a family area for vacation, its certainly rare to even see kids with straight couple around silom hehe. But you comes from iconsiam, like your report said, the wrong side of the river. I believe icon siam is the only big shopping mall on that side.

For the same reasons, it's my least favorite disco in Bangkok. I haven't been for years, and while I can tolerate loud music (earplugs), smoking is intolerable.

There are various shopping malls on the Western side of the river, but Icon Siam is the only of interest to tourists.

Continuing where I stopped. 

Saturday morning was spent again in CentralWorld this time with the help of our nanny so some actual shopping was able to be done. After that, it's nap time which means again a massage for the daddies. I took my husband to Arena. We entered and there were about 30 men there. I again gave him the right to pick first, this time it was quite obvious that there is only one REALLY hot guy there so he chose him. That guy was beautiful and muscular and I envied my husband for having a massage with him. Manager explained us that specifically for that guy, the minimum tip is 1000. I found it weird but said ok and off they went. After they left I realized that although I have 30 men in front of me, none of them are ones I actually want to have fun with so I decided to wait and maybe someone else would come. The whole time I was there, there was not a single walk in. I waited inside 50 minutes for my partner, which was a bit of a weird experience. When he happily came out we agreed that he will return to our suite to be with our daughter and I am going to try my luck elsewhere and return later to the hotel. He did mention that the Arena guy was also an excellent masseur but he did not get his name. 

After escorting my husband back to our hotel, I ordered a motor taxi. I decided that it is my time to explore some unexplored territories. So I put VClub7's address on the Grab app and took a motor taxi there. Half an hour later and closer to lung cancer than I have ever been, I arrived. It is a long drive for a motorcycle since that place is far. I noticed that the guys entering the place are hot. These guys are headed not to the massage but to the sauna (Chakran) which is located at the same place. I take a mental note of that and enter the massage area. About 14 guys on display, most of them are at least cute, and probably even more than that. Choosing was easy since there was one tall, muscular model at the back. I would say that a lot of that place reminds me of Prince but it is maybe a little more professional and expensive. I went with my guy to our room. Room is nicer than prince with mirrors located at better position, bigger bed and a more transparent shower. Encounter with that guy was great with lots of oil, rubbing, muscles flexing, touching. Guy's name sounded like "Ex" and he is from Chang Mai and suggested we exchange Line Id's. Since I was very satisfied I gave him 2000THB which is more than the already high minimum tip there which is now 1500 THB. But he was worth it. Maybe next time I just call him to my room or something. All and all this was a very good experience. Not sure if I will return just because of the distance. 

Once I returned, we spend some time with our child. I told my husband we should check out the Chakran sauna and that even though it's far, it looks promising. I already knew that they have something called O-Party at 9PM. I remembered that term from R3 (reopened nowadays as sauna Ratchada) as a massive orgy. We left the hotel at 8PM since I knew we had a long ride ahead of us and this time a motor taxi was not involved. I used Grab to order a taxi which worked really well for me this entire trip. I asked the driver to use the freeway and that I will pay its toll (50THB). I was surprised but that worked very well and we arrived 25 minutes later. Place is almost as clean as Babylon which is a lot nicer than Sauna Mania and resembles R3. We are the only foreigners in the house and the house is full - these are absolutely fucking perfect conditions for an evening of fun. Crowd is very much my taste with mostly fit, young Asians. The guys I talked with were mostly Thai, Chinese or Japanese. We waited to see what happens at 9PM just to find out it’s more of a show rather than a massive orgy. Show consisted of twinks having fun with each other. It was nice but not as fun as R3 massive O-Party. After about half an hour the show ended and the real fun started. That place is a buffet of my favorite dish. We stayed there for about 3 hours having fun with the Asian dishes served that night. I enjoyed that place very much and hopefully will return for seconds in the future. Although this sauna is far, I think that it's probably the best sauna in BKK if seeking Asian fun. After easting some Japanese ass, I had a sudden rush for Ramen, so after leaving Chakran we had a very late dinner at a Japanese restaurant nearby. 

From there we carried on to drinks at Balcony and after that to Saturday night party at G Bangkok. I saw there again Cha, the guy I saw there a week before and yesterday had the privilege to have a great time with. He was with his local friends and seemed really embarrassed when he saw me so I decided to let him have his space. After some more dancing, we were both tired from this day and called it a day.

It's easy to get to Chakra/VClub by BTS to Ari and then a short walk or mocy ride.  

Also lots of fun good places to eat in the neighborhood.

Yes! We were very suprised by the massive number of high class, low cost restaurants in that area. We went to the Charkrans's nearest Japanease restaurant: Ori Izakaya & Sushi Bar, which was great. And we saw along the way many other options that looked great. For an unfamiliar area, that was a nice suprise.

Great report indeed, sounds like two guys who know how to have fun :-)

But as DM already pointed out, you are clearly mistaken about Chakran/V-Club being "far". For a mosai ride it is certainly (too) far, BUT going by BTS is a breeze, an airconditioned one to boot. 

The Ari area is actually well known and very happening when it comes to restaurants and cafes.
