Was curious to how many have been to or are interested (or not) in Brasil.

 

I LOVE Asia and Asians...however, Brasil has to be the best sex for both tops and bottoms in the world.... these guys are so passionate, not shy and come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

I've met quite a few board members here (in Brasil) and on Boytoys....many guys here (Brasil)  will comment that they are not into Asians (obvious size queens)....or guys in Asia that only think about Asia....weird. Both places are similar yet very different......

Havent voted yet... but i find this thread interesting. Brazilians are definitely hot. More passionate than thais i think. The only problem for me is that its way too far for me to travel. 

I dont know about how safe it is . Thailand, bkk in particular is safe , cheap and friendly ...

I have been to Brazil at least 30 times. I love it and the guys there. I find it more dangerous but easy to navigate around those dangers. I think the average working boy in Brazi is by far more passionate and more exciting than the average Thai working boy.  I have found big dicks in both places and I enjoy both places.  I picked Thailand because the Thai boys tend to prefer one longer-term BF and the easy to get "Western" comforts in LOS is so easy.  Everything you want from the USA is easy to get here.  Heck, they even have a Taco Bell.  Brazil wins out when it comes to group orgies as the sauna boys there love threeways and groups. Thailand wins out on the sheer number of options of boys. For example, walking down Twilight and finding 10 bars, places to off guys just next door to each other. Both are easy to find Internet dates. 

I agree with FloridaRob, both are similar in many ways but very different.

Some interest but as an occasional visitor to BestGore.com I find far too many videos from Brazil on that site.

Ive been to brazil once but never venture to their gay area. It was a work visit and i stayed near the beach, quite far from the gay area and also i dont like to mix fun and work. But judging by porn, and the beach, i can say there are much more options for muscle lover like me in brazil than in thailand. Alas, brazil is far away from my hometown, and thailand is a stone throw away, so ive had to settle for thailand and that isnt bad at all. I go there for the bars and long time experience, two things i wouldnt or hard to get in my hometown. Gogobar is non existence here, gay bar are mostly with drags. Overnight/longtime is possible but the cost is too high, (u can get long time for as low as 2k  for regular boy, or 3k-4k in for muscle boys) while over here, the cheapest overnight requested are around rm800 (~7k baht) and higher (RM1-2k range). Wont even bother to try the western rentmen who ocassionally come and demanding usd300 per hour lol.

I haven't been to Brazil.  Reasons are as below.  Some may be perception issues.

1  Bigger hairy boys

2  More expense 

3  Safety.   I like to be able to walk where I want, without taking precautions 

4  Thailand has a more predictable dry climate during the European winter

I'd always wanted to visit Brazil since I first saw "Black Orpheus" fifty years ago....but now? With a homophobic, racist government supported by palpably insane evangelicals, death squads and wealthy mafiosi? not likely. .

2. Yes, but not sure about hotels as mine is always more expensive there.

A very good point.   Would be helpful to know which cities are recommended and since some of the cities are enormous, where in those cities.

By way of research, I used the Grindr travel function with age range 18-28 to browse the offering in Rio.   Only 2 of the lads in my permitted free allocation were of significant interest.   Over 20 in Pattaya.    

Obviously I don't know if Grindr is the way to find boys there.

I have been to every major city in Brazil and found beautiful twinks in each one. I like Rio for the variety and the saunas are the best to find them. I like Porto Alegre for the light skinned. I like Sao Paulo for the city and the ease of getting everywhere. Any city has good parts and bad parts. I tend to prefer Sao Paulo over the others as I like the NYC vibe. I like bars and restaurants and malls. I also like Salvadore and found some of the most amazing guys there but on the beach and not the bars.

Is weird, I only found 2 guys on Grindr....not sure what app they are using, I like the sauna scene better to see in real life....but there are many websites they advertise on too...

The Most popular cities are Rio & Sao Paulo....but like Mike said, all over Brasil is good...just those 2 cities attract more working guys because of the population.

That's brazil straight off my shopping list!

I can cope with the wispy taches on Thai boys, but for me beards belong on bears... and like goldilocks I don't like sharing my bed with bears!

There's still plenty of smooth skinned clean shaven guys....the Beard thing has gone on way too long everywhere they can grow beards.

I voted "no" "too dangerous" "too far". "Too far" is not a valid argument, as from Germany distance to Brasil is similar as to Thailand.

In principle I'm interested in Brasil, however:

I speak Thai already and know my way around here (SEAsia), safety is a big issue for me (I want to be able to walk anywhere anytime without safety issues), and my impression is that Brasilians are more hunky and more hairy (and I don't want someone who shaves, or use depilatory cream, I wanted natural absence of hair where it doesn't belong) than SEAsians. And anyway, my time is completely consumed between Thailand, Germany, Taiwan and Myanmar. There is no chance of me going to Brasil anytime soon.

Another point is: have those who have been to Brasil paid for sexual services or was it free? Nowadays, most of my encounters here (SEAsia) are free, whereas in Brasil I would probably have to start by paying to get an impression what's available and what's possible.

So how much is short time & long time in Brasil ?

I don't see distance to Brazil as a factor for many board members.   London to Rio looks marginally quicker than Bangkok (considering both directions).   I presume Rio is a shorter trip for people in North America.     

Obviously anyone in Asia or Australia may find Thailand closer, but I suspect a majority of contributors are from the US and Europe

Running a similar poll for the Philippines is tempting.

You will find tons of information on boytoy.com.  Similar site to here, just join and read some of the threads on Brazil. Ask any questions and you will get all the help you need to understand the country. Also more photos are allowed there of the explicit type Now that Michael resides in Thailand, Tomcal is the member to ask for any specific and current information. He is very willing to share his knowledge of Brazil. There are many other members but I would call Tomcal the one I would ask specific questions.

Running a similar poll for the Philippines is tempting.

short time is usually done in the sauna, they rent rooms by the hour 100brl  (27usd), I do long times where they come to my hotel and usually stay 150brl (40usd) and you save the cost of the short time room. There are no off fees, but have to pay the entrance to the sauna (about 15usd), where some serve food and all serve drinks at normal prices.

There is no tipping just to talk to see if you are compatible, and they are not shy, they wear towels and show and you can touch everything to see if it's what you want.

Rio & Sao Paul have the biggest saunas and each place has  their busy nights...no need to go looking from place to place....Lagoa the other night had about 40-50 guys working.

And not sure where people think the guys are hairy, there are some but ALL the guys I go with are smooth (maybe some hair on their legs).....even the skinny guys here have amazing bubble butts....and if you guys remember Namuzu that wrote great trip reports.....when I tried to get him to go to BKK my past trip, he asked me "after discovering Brasil, why would I return to Thailand?"...I said, Food, Massage, cute guys and Freq Flyer miles....he said, that's what it has come down to?.....
